Anyone who backs stopping the triple-lock should try living on the basic state pension of £203/week. I have no problem with stopping it for the wealthy. Ordinary pensioners are hardly well-off.

It's not ring fenced and what you get out ( Benefits, State pension, NHS) has no relation to what you pay in , it's effectively just an additional income tax ( on employees only since pensioners don't pay NI which is wrong given how much longer we live after retirement these days )

@jabberwocky life expectancy has gone down under this Government for many areas. Excess deaths rates have gone up, disregarding COVID. Now is not the time to be taking away anything from public services, if you're not healthy you can't work and if you've worked hard you should be able to enjoy retirement.
