I need to stop watching TBR videos because it makes me feel far more ambitious about my own reading than I am really capable of! Lovely TBR, Lauren. I haven't heard much about Lucy Wood's book but I really like the concept! Thank you for sharing that. The only *for sure* books in my September TBR are Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone and How to Sell a Haunted House. One's from my personal 2024 TBR I set in January and the other is a book club selection from my work.

The Anne of Green Gables series is a great choice for an autumn read! Especially the first two books feel very autumnal to me. Redwall is also a good choice. In case you haven't figured it out yet, Redwall is one of those series where the author wrote books set in a bunch of different time periods in the same world, so the publication and the chronological order don't match at all. Redwall was the first book to be published, and as such, it is a fine starting point for the series! I have been really looking forward to you reading North and South ever since you first mentioned it! I really hope you get to it this time. I think you will like it much better than when you tried to read it in school.

Aw, this is a lovely coincidence - I'm currently reading a book of all Poirot short stories! ☺ It's a 900 pages long book so I have been chipping slowly at it for 2 months now. As I suspected, short stories cannot compare, to me at least, to full length Poirot novels. But then again, I am not a fan of short stories in general, so maybe I am biased 😅 As a primarily fantasy reader, I think you have a lovely autumn tbr! Though I would caution against reading 5-6 Robin Hobb books back to back to back. She is infamous, in fantasy circles at least, for being almost extremely cruel to her characters, so by reading those books back to back to back, please be forewarned that you are singing yourself up for a whole lot of constant devastation and heartbreak 😅 Also, I think that Sevenwaters series by Juliet Marillier is 6 books long? I am currently reading, well better said _struggling_ through the third one, because I am currently reading a detailed, near SA scene, which is so uncomfortable to read, that I keep putting the book down. Oh! And one more thing! I would warmly recommend the audiobook for North and South, read by Juliet Stevenson, as she is an absolutely amazing narrator! I believe the audiobook can be accessed credit-free for Audible Premium memberships, if you maybe have it.

I read thrillers all year long but seem to stock pile them on in Fall. Classics are only read in Fall/Winter….something about curling up with tea and cocoa, under a cozy blanket while it rains or snows outside is the right time for Classics. Summer is reserved for “easy” books. That’s the extent of my seasonal reading.

I’m 5 books into the Robyn Hobb books - I must admit I preferred the first three books to the Liveship books, I just found them much cosier (think that might have been because they are set in and around the castle and town, plus I love Fool I just think they are such an interesting character). Very excited to finish the series though 😊 and excited to hear your thoughts on it.

Hi Lauren I have read the Mad Ships Trilogy by Robin Hobb long time ago. I have read The Secret Garden - it is one of my favorite books. I have also read Anne Of Green Gables. I love all of these that I have Read. Your other books that you mention sounds good too. I do not read books by Seasons - I read one book from start to finish no matter how long it takes me to read that book. I take my time in reading my Books. Take Care & Happy Reading ❤️🤗☕️🐿️🍁🍂🔰📖📚☀️❤️

Struggling to find The Secret Garden and dont want to resort to a new copy so have sent my wife out to find a copy today! I think the Mad Ships trilogy is my favourite from Robin Hobb, such a wonderful premise and it links into the world seamlessly.

The Autumn Chills will be the last of the Seasonal Agatha Christie books for me to read....Hubby bought the set for me at Christmas so I've read one each season. The Redwall series was extremely popular at my kids' elementary school ( with the 5th and 6th graders) here in Arizona, but my kids never got into the series. Lots of fabulous books on my shelf to read who knows what will be next -- but the new Attica Locke came in the post yesterday so that is what i am reading now. Hope your reading goes as planned.

I've read The Secret Garden and Anne of Green Gables. They were both great. I am currently reading A Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers; it's philosophical. I'm interested in reading her Wayfarer series.
