A Cozy podcast recommendation would be David Tennants podcast, where he interviews other celebrities. There is nothing seasonal about it, but he just has a soothing quality about him, and he is such a good and warm interviewer. It's like two mates having a lovely chat 🤩

Thank you for keeping me amused while I negotiate jet lag Lauren. I find myself reading different genres in different locations ... am I alone? At the moment, outside at home Derek Jarman, downstairs something practical (arty). On the bus, a slim volume. In bed.... usually a murder (should my husband be worried😂). Happy belated Birthday David🎉 Keep up the good work my friends. Mel x

I don't know that my age group really get into the festival of Autumn in Australia, perhaps the younger generation does. I look forward to the leaves changing colour. That's the feel of Autumn to me.

I love apple foods. However, pumpkin is the all time favorite. Autumn clothes: fleece, fleece, fleece love the feel & cozy vibe. Corduroy slacks, sweaters, big comfy sweatshirts with fun sayings, turtlenecks alone or layered, fleece socks with Birkenstock Sandles and of course flannel shirts - well, actually any thing flannel. Food: cider, casseroles, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, pumpkin pie spice, and apple pie spice mixes. Pork roasted with apples and onions and potatoes. Soups and stews. Fun time: walks in the woods to see the leaves while enjoying the crisp air and distinctive fall smell, raking leaves into big piles and jumping into it. Gathering pretty leaves and pressing them between pieces of wax paper - use as book marks. Reading: all but beach reads or very middle of winter themes. Of course anything by Washington Irving. The legend of sleepy hallow aka the headless horseman. I grew up in the Hudson River Valley so the stories are set nearby. Always read in school and at home too. Will begin reading with the grands soon. I love fall. We have “boogie pumpkins” brightly painted faces or designs on them. Funny, comical faces. Long lasting but missing the inner light. Use neon paint colors. Enjoy all the wonderful fall food, clothes, reading, outdoor experiences.

Great to hear your periods are better! I have been referred to gynie because I get such debilitating bowel cramps on the first day of my period. Wish I could try the pill but am hoping to try for a baby next year- just hoping whatever it is isn’t fertility related! Thanks so much for talking candidly about this- so helpful

@ReclaimingSensitivity If the bowel issues always coincide with your periods, it sounds like endometriosis tissue is growing on your bowels. Don't leave the gynaecologist appointment without an appointment for a pelvic area MRI even if they are dismissive and you need to fight for it. I know it must feel scary if you want to get pregnant but endometriosis doesn't necessarily mean fertility issues. The best thing you can do for your fertility is to be diagnosed and treated for it. Good luck 🫶

Regarding your health, did the gynaecologist get MRI scans of your pelvis to check for endometriosis? It's top of mind for me because I've just been diagnosed after suffering from very painful periods. It can affect your bowels, too. (The pill actually stops you from having periods altogether so it makes sense that it's working in that sense.) Wish you well!

Second this! Currently being investigated myself and although my symptoms weren’t considered severe for endo, all of my symptoms still indicated possible endometriosis. Since having the coil fitted (sadly the pill didn’t work for me) it’s starting to ease! I also had tummy related issues that my GP suggested was linked to endo as it’s all so close together. Glad the pill has managed your pain 😊
@grrrumpypanda2 ай бұрын
@abbygolding1635 Sorry to hear that you might also have it. It's sadly very common but goes undiagnosed a lot because the symptoms vary and let's be honest, medical misogyny. The pain is not correlated with how spread it is, so you can have Stage 1 endometriosis with excruciating pain or Stage 4 with few symptoms. It all depends on where the endo has grown (it can even be on your bowels and lungs), how much scar tissue there is, etc. I'm still coming to terms with the diagnosis but feel lucky that I had an excellent doctor who took my pain seriously. It's not normal to suffer through your periods. Wish you well!

🙋🏼♀️ Endo sufferer here. They only found it because of ovarian cysts forming and rupturing and infertility. Luckily never had painful or unpredictable periods except when a cyst ruptured which was several times a year. Got a laparoscopy in 2020 to clean up endo and have had no cysts rupture since. Also IVF finally worked and I have an 8-month-old.

@winesaboutbooks Really glad the surgery worked and that you were able to get pregnant! Should say for the benefit of anyone reading this that a tissue sample through laparoscopy is the only way to 100% confirm if you have endometriosis or not. But a doctor can give you a clinical diagnosis based on your symptoms + MRI scans which can show where you have developed scar tissue etc. If they do the surgery, they will also remove any endometriosis they find. I'm currently weighing my options with the surgery because I really don't want to get back on hormonal birth control...
