Autumnal Equinox // Roland Aira Compact P-6 Boom-Bap Beatmaking

A jazzy joint cooked up on the (relatively) new Roland Aira Compact P-6 sampler!
I’ve been really loving this machine for its warm sound. It’s very limited, but getting around those limitations to make full beats has been inspiring and a fun challenge.
For this one, I’ve run the beat through the SP404MKII for a little vinyl sim compression mojo, but everything you hear was sampled and sequencing with the P-6.
Might have to make a tape with this lil guy!

how do you finalize this beat in a daw?

@@ricogabaldon7753 Get the mix where I want it in the P-6 and two-track it into the DAW. EQ and compress to taste. I have a method worked out for stemming out beats from samplers with no multiple outs like this, but unfortunately the sequencer is a little jittery on this box and the result wasn’t up to snuff. I think the charm here is in getting a result that sounds good straight out of the machine and just rolling with that.
