There seems to be an air of positivity around building this team up with the future at the forefront of everyones minds, without being reckless and just throwing all the lambs to the slaughter at once. Keeping a few old heads around was needed, also I think Sam is playing better without the captaincy, but then I could be one eyed there, as I still have a soft spot for him. Either way, I think we’re looking good for the future as a team, and the only shortfall I see ahead of us, is if Aus don’t pull their finger out, or South Africa don’t come back to the Rugby Championship.

Maybe now they’ll pipe down a bit, and realise their team will never be in contention for the top two teams in the world. They need a lot of help from officials, who allows them to get away with their negative play around the ruck. They’ve been doing it and getting away with it for too long. Cortez was poor, his clearance and box kicks are way too slow, the team can't build momentum with him starting at 9. Once again Roigard comes on and the flow and tempo is much better, he reads the game way better than Ratima. Easily the All Blacks best win of 2024.

If you paid attention, the Irish forwards were obstructing Ratima at the breakdown, slowing the ball down. The only reason it didn't affect Roigard is because he has the upper body strength to compete in that area.

​@@icefarrow7959The problem was the Irish infringements and our forwards being lazy. Half of it was Ratima bro. He doesn't play the ball on the ground and his passing motion is too slow. Whereas Roigard, he passed the ball from the ground, and he also offered tactical kicking which was on point.

As a Kiwi there is alot to learn and admire about the SA team and game tactics. Importantly the players play a hard physical game everything they do is physical coupled with a dedicated game style and plan. Going to be hard to beat for some years. Can't see European teams beating them......for some time. Kiwi's take serious note.
