Stade De France is little to little becoming a reference in World Rugby, with its unique lighting show, its super supporting, strong and yet respectful supporters. La Marseillaise is so vibrant and powerful which gives to every French people and national team the will to conquer. I am sure this game against France made ABs trip to Europe worthwhile. The game, the fight from both teams was fantastic to watch. Rugby is the winner !

The haka isn't just about a challenge, it's about showing respect for your opponent. Those supporters can (and do) react however they feel the need. I think the Stade De France crew might've one-upped them all, by making the experience even better. Outstanding!

Haka is emblematic of this sport, so we deal with it politely. But to be fair, I don't really understand why the opponent has to "suffer" from the psychological impact of this each time. One team can impress the other, while the other has to stay still, far away (since it was made illegal to get face to face). Haka is still allowed, especially under these rules, only because NZ officials are influencial within World Rugby spheres.

There never used to be camera people and microphones placed on the field in the middle of it. Other than that countries are free to react however they want to. I don't think any rules exist around that.

I remind the face to face got forbidden shortly after the french got unusually close during the 2007 quarter final that resulted into a loss for NZ. After every world cup NZ is doing lobbying at World Rugby for changing what went wrong. We're currently trying 20 minutes red cards because NZ got red carded early during the 2023 final...

Yes, but it still is very legitimate to challenge the status quo and the unfair psychological edge the ABs get by performing their haka. The easy solution is to ban it altogether and only allow it in NZ BEFORE the anthems, that way the Maori respect for their hosts is shown without trying to benefit from an unfair psychological advantage. The difficult solution is to implement MANDATORY hakas for BOTH teams, performed simultaneously (what a cacophonic disgrace), or to have the home team perform theirs last as an answer to ABs' one.

Anyone who played rugby had a dream to face the Haka. My uncle faced it in 1954, my father never, and my two brothers and myself we didn’t either on a rugby field … but to face a Haka or even better to be in one… heaven I did face a Haka actually last year in Florence, at the Florence art Biennale, a New Zealand Maori art group of 30 artists were at the Biennale and they did a Haka, men and women, goosebumps. They won medals for best artwork and so did I. It is a very spiritual earthy feeling, very deep… there are spirits, very beautiful
