Yes, absolutely, they are really nicely made and are so much more sensibly priced than others. Love how they look when installed, definitely have an OEM+ look to them. Now, when mine arrived there were some chips in the powder coating from the packaging, which I believe they have rectified now. I went over them with some black Krylon paint. And also be aware that they are designed as fog lights and not ditch/spot lights, so they aren’t quite as bright as those style lights. They are fantastic tho and exactly what I wanted! Thank you! I will be in the opposite boat, if I order the grill lights, that I'll need to extend the wires for them up to where the AUX wires are, being as I used the purple grill wire. I guess, alternatively, I could just tap into that wire as well if I got lazy! But it makes sense to be on a separate switch! You'll just have to extend the wires in your situation from the harness to the AUX switches near the firewall, should be a simple process, and will actually give you more options for grounding them. Good luck, the amber lights look nice too, hope everything goes well for you!

Easy to follow demo - thanks! I have Oracle's spare tire ring 3rd brake light for mine... when it gets here. Why did you choose the Aux1 switch? Is it because of the amps of the fuse? Thanks
@CUPRADESIGN
@CUPRADESIGN Жыл бұрын
Thank you, I appreciate it and thanks for watching! I've been contemplating the 3rd Brake Light Ring and also the Light Up Front Letters too. So - the reason I chose AUX1 is because as you rightly state, there's a 30A fuse in the harness that comes with the fog light kit, but also, I don't have plans for anything else with a high draw, I am already using AUX2 for my Rigid Ditch Lights, so having the two close to each other was what I wanted. The beauty is, that you can change their locations really easily, if our plans change in the future.

Hi, great video but I was wondering about the light up letters for the grill. I ordered both through oracle and am waiting for them to arrive. My question is basically if you have done that yet and if the 30amp aux 1 can handle all that.
@CUPRADESIGN
@CUPRADESIGN Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for asking, at this time, I haven’t installed the ORACLE letters for the front. It’s something I’ve been considering, but just haven’t gotten round to them. And yes, AUX 1 is more than sufficient. You can actually put them on AUX2 - AUX5 without issue. Hope that helps.

I just rewatched my video being as I did that install over a year ago. I’ve not had any issues in that time with the lights at all. The only thing that I can suggest is that the lights are maybe not being grounded properly. You might want to double check the two black wires, how you connected them and make sure that they are both truly grounded at that point. Otherwise I’m really not sure why you would be having issues like that.

Love your videos, extremely concise and well done. I plan on getting these same lights but read on the Bronco6G forum that they may not be street legal due to how high the beams are in relation to the headlights. Some user added nylon spacers to the bottom screw of each light to point them down (lowering the beam). Have you had any issue with blinding oncoming traffic or do you only use these when off road. Thanks.
@CUPRADESIGN
@CUPRADESIGN Жыл бұрын
Hey Greg, thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it. So, they lights themselves are DOT Compliant, so there is no issue with legality there. However there have been instances of people being flashed by oncoming vehicles when they have the fog lights on. There are a couple of different things you can do. 1) There are tiny washers that you can buy, and insert them in the lower mounting screws to effectively push the bottom of the light further away meaning they angle down more. 2) If you take the butt of a hammer, you can rest it on the light housing from the front and actually push the frame slightly to angle the individual lights down slightly. 3) When mounting the lights you can add a small shim to the front edge of the mounting bracket, essentially pointing them down slightly. I have been flashed once or twice, but haven’t driven a lot at night yet. However, if it continues, I have a couple of rubber gaskets left over from installing a light bar, so I will add them to the front of the lights. Hope that helps! And thank you again for watching!

As you may have seen from my channel I’ve checked out many different fog lights but these still remain my go-to set that are installed on the Bronco. Partly due to being directly hooked to my AUX but also because I love the light output. Super bright in fact I had to record a second video in order to aim them better so as to not blind people. They have lasted well, only issue I’ve had is a little paint issue from new which I just masked and painted. And then I do have some condensation in one of them. Reached out to Oracle and they said that they are vented and the water would dissipate and true enough, it did. Hope that helps. Still love them over a year on.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I actually only installed them last night, so I haven't driven with them at night apart from pulling back into the garage. According to Oracle, they are 'DOT Compliant' as fog lights, but that pretty much states the they aren't too bright to annoy other road users. And it's been 100ºF+ every day for a long time now, so we're not going to have fog for quite some time!

@CUPRADESIGN
@CUPRADESIGN Жыл бұрын
Hey Mario, thanks for watching and great question! So, I have two reason as to why I did it this way. First reason is personal, I don’t have plans to install a winch or anything with a high draw, my ditch lights are on AUX2 so for me AUX1 made sense. The second reason is that the harness that I cut had a 30A fuse in it, so figured with AUX1 also rated at 30A it makes sense. Now, I’m also no electrician, so take my next comment with a pinch of salt, but I have seen a video where they show the draw of both fog lights and it’s nowhere near the 30A threshold, so you should be fine using one of the AUX4-6 switches. As I say, I don’t have plans (currently) for additional lights, but that could change, and the switch over to a different AUX switch would be really simple. Really appreciate you watching, and keep an eye out for more videos coming real soon!
@loudefonzo7106
@loudefonzo7106 Жыл бұрын
First let me say this ai well done video. Thanks. I screwed up my first reply. Oracle states that the maximum draw for the lights is 3.6A @12V DC. Not sure why they provide a 30 Amp fuse in their wiring kit but if their 3.6A draw number is correct then Aux 3 - 6 fused @ 10 Amps should be more than enough.

The Oracle site said there is a way to wire the lamps such that you can illuminate a single emitter (light) on each side for on-road and illuminate all emitters for off road. How is this done?
@CUPRADESIGN
@CUPRADESIGN 7 ай бұрын
In order to do that you would have to look at the harness and separate the wires from each light and wire them up to the individual AUX switches. Eg, at this time in the video, I have both light (both sets of three lights) hooked to one switch using the harness provided. You would need to pair back the harness for example to the two outermost bulbs and wire just those two bulbs (one in each fog light) to a single AUX switch. That will give you a single light on each side. Then you could wire the remaining 4 together (2 on each side) to another AUX switch and that would give you control over the other 4 bulbs. Another work around is in my other Oracle video which is to aim the lights down just slightly so that you don’t blast oncoming vehicles with excess light, while maintaining the great light output from the Oracle lights. Here’s a link to that video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHO7mKKmotdrd8ksi=fPtBOwwJfrl5z750 Hope this helps.

What was the first purple wire you tapped into? Great videos!
@CUPRADESIGN
@CUPRADESIGN Жыл бұрын
Thank you Johnathan, I appreciate the feedback on the video! The purple wire at the front is a pre-wire for the AUX switches. It's basically a wire pre-routed through the engine to make it easy to wire up to the grill area. You don't have to use that if you want to, but it's there to make it easier to wire up to the AUX switches. That wire has no power to it as it stands. It is just a length of wire from the grill to the far right corner. Once you wire your Oracle lights to that purple wire, there is still no power to them. When you go up to the far right corner of the engine bay, you then connect the other end of the purple wire to whichever one of the AUX switch wires you decide to use (I chose the 30A switch #1, but you can choose whichever one you want). Once you join those two together, and also connect your ground wire, you have a full circuit, providing power from your AUX switch. I promise you, it's really easy this way - if I can do it, anyone can do it! Again, thanks for watching, I really appreciate it!

Hey Cole, it’s not necessary to cut the harness at all, if you are using the switch that comes with the lights. But if you want to use the switch that came with the lights then there is no need to cut the harness at all.

@CUPRADESIGN
@CUPRADESIGN Жыл бұрын
Hey Stephen, the AUX switches are already hooked up to the battery. They literally turn on and off the power. So all you have to do is wire the power wire (red) from what you are hooking up to the AUX switch wire and then the black wire is the ground. They’ve made it so easy using the AUX switches. That’s why you didn’t see me hook up to the battery at all. The AUX wire IS essentially your battery connection hope that makes sense. The AUX connection runs from the battery, and also has its own fuse as well. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

If you have ANY plans of installing options like a winch, air compressor, higher intensity lighting etc, you will want to NOT use the yellow wire, and opt instead maybe for the green wire, which is aux 2. I'm thinking most wouldn't want to go too much farther away than that for something you're going to use that often, but thats just me .
@CUPRADESIGN
@CUPRADESIGN Жыл бұрын
Yes, when installing, I took that into consideration. I don’t have plans to install a winch or anything like that at this time. If I do determine that I want to, I plan to add quick disconnects to the AUX wires so I can plug and play and move items around quickly and easily if I do choose. But at this time, with the fog lights, ditch lights and light bar, I’m done for now.

@@ryanritchie9455 - technically you could tie them into AUX 2-6 no problem, they are 15A, 10A, 10A, 10A, 10A. I chose to use AUX switch 1 as it is a) the closest to me, b) the fuse that was on the harness for the Oracle Fog Lights was a 30A fuse, and c) at this time, I don't have plans for anything with a higher draw necessitating the need for that location. @@CUPRADESIGN That seems odd they included a 30 amp fuse because I subsequently went and looked for specifications on their website; Total Amp Draw: 3.6A @12V DC. That seems to be 7.2A for both, so 10 amp switch would likely be sufficient. Thanks for the content, as this helps me make some decisions. ✌🏼👍🏼

@@Carl-vx9ws I actually just went out into the garage to confirm. I still have the remnants of the Oracle wiring harness after I cut it off, and also the wiring harness that I cut off from the Lasfit LED Light Bar I installed too (pretty much identical -generic- harnesses) and they BOTH have green 30A fuses in them.

What is purple wire for? Don't get it. Clear as mud.

The purple wire is the pre installed power wire for the auxiliary switches that sits behind the grill. If you have the auxiliary switches, there are power wires run throughout the vehicle. This meant that I didn't have to run wire all over the engine bay, I could use the wiring that was provided by Ford. You then connect that to the power wire up by the cowl and you have a nice clean installation. This information might help too: www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/2021-bronco-aux-switches-wiring-diagram-video-discussions.13485/

Where does the purple and yellow wire come from?

Found it. I assumed the aux switches were 1 wire from switch to a certain location.

It would be nice if that were the case, but Ford ran ‘pieces’ of wire that you get to join together around the vehicle. Glad you got it taken care of and thank you for watching! I appreciate it!

Is that a stock bumper?

Hey Stevie, it’s an OEM bumper, it is the optional ($800) modular steel bumper available from Ford when ordering. I’ve also got the optional steel bash plates as well.
