hey dude! To be honest I think I am going to buy a pair for that reason alone and mount 1 or 2 facing backwards. Since they have 3 modes, it will also be nice to have the option to turn on just the clear light for additional lighting while reversing or for other random situations. They're pretty bright for facing backwards but I guess being bright is what they are made for lol
