Hi, your videos are great! I am asking to understand; For example, to use 8 Control 25s in a single large venue; what kind of power and output number of a crown amplifier should be connected and HOW?

Hello thank you for the video. I'm working on an outdoor pool installation and have been looking at the Control 28-1 but have noticed JBL also makes a 28-1L and was wondering if you knew the difference between the two. The spec sheets are virtually identical unless it's around the filtering. Thanks.

Not sure if you ever ffound your answer, but the 28-1 has a 70v transformer in addition to an 8-ohm bypass, the 28-1L does not and will only run in 8-ohms.

You’re far off with the specs. I don’t think these JBL speakers are rated to handle that much wattage. For example, the JBL Control 28-1 speakers will blow up in no time from 240 watts per channel amp if the amp was maxed out with the amplifier clipping as well. They’re rated to handle 120 watts RMS of clean power, the JBL Control 25-1 speakers are rated to handle 100 watts RMS, and the Control 23-1 speakers are rated to handle 50 watts RMS. The terms: “continuous pink noise”, “program”, and “peak” are completely meaningless and confusing to even a person with a bunch of experience in the audio industry. We should only know how many watts (RMS) speakers are rated to handle.
