Drink lots of water, do warm ups and vocal exercises for 10-20 minutes at a time, 3-5 times a day, make sure to spend time in silence (take voice breaks, don't talk to people for a day to rest your vocal folds). Studied voice in college.

...studied voice in college and I'm just repeating wht they told me to do. Oh! Also, if doing a lot of singing, avoid NSAID medications like ibuprofen. They can create hemorrhages on your vocal folds if you do a lot of singing while taking them. Make sure to get looked at by a throat specialist every so often to check on your throat health.
