What about the sorry state of mass transit between NY and NJ? New Jersey Transit isn't capable of moving passengers into Penn station without incident on a "good" day. As I write this the Morris and Essex line is severely crippled due to overhead wire damage which will force thousands of people to drive into NYC this week, and sorry NJT, you can't blame this one on Amtrak.

I am taking mass transit from Staten Island, and it takes an hour and 40 minutes to commute no matter how you cut it. The mayor is cutting police officers' jobs but can find a way to get police to issue summons for people driving in a bus lane in Staten Island, but can not assigne police to get the pedi cabs out the way on 5th Ave. These pedicabs are pushing my commute to 2 hours. Get the fare evaders that walk in 40 at a time.
