Avalanche Creek Gorge - Glacier National Park

The video begins along Avalanche Creek above the gorge and follows the creek above the gorge down to where Trail of the Cedars crosses the creek on a foot bridge. This was shot in September 2016 with a GoPro on a G4 hand held stabilizer.

Avalanche GORGE! Creeks are shallow, benign and approachable. Gorges are bottomless CHANNELS filled with running water.

ahhhh..... 35+ years of hiking and climbing Glacier Park. Avalanche was a family favorite when my parents came to visit from Minnesota. Their ashes are at the far end of Avalanche Lake - looking out toward Heaven's Peak. I would visit them every Mother's Day and Father's Day in the early morning hours. So many times i walked past these rapids and the Gorge.....so many times. Thanks for the video. Thanks for the ambience.....

What a gorgeous place to spread their ashes! Lucky you for living close enough to visit often. We've only been the one time, but hope to go back some day

Be very cautious if you visit here. A young man last weekend fell in and has not been recovered. He is assumed as deceased. Beautiful but dangerous !
