AVANTASIA BACK IN THE STUDIO

Tobias is currently in the studio working with a legion of guest instrumentalists and vocalists on a new AVANTASIA album to be released in spring 2013. The album will once again be a Rock Opera based on a conceptual story very similar to the early AVANTASIA albums.

I think this is my list of other vocalists I'd personally like to hear on the album: Jorn again (as always) Tommy Karevik of Seventh Wonder and Kamelot James LaBrie of Dream Theatre Michael Eriksen of Circus Maximus Maybe a bit of growling (not too much, don't worry) by Mark Jansen from Epica Amanda Somerville and Cloudy Yang Floor Jansen Simone Simons. Personally I hope this album takes a new direction. I would love to hear for example a song featuring Nergal or Seth Siro. They have a certain creepy crace to their death metal voices (especially the latter) and I would love to hear what would come out of that collab. If only Tobias could really just choose any singer/musician and sign him on. Sadly, the list of people available to him is obviously quite limited. Thus, you'll have to make do with the likes of Biff Byford. In my fantasy, ZP Theart would be the main vocalist, not even Kiske. Kiske may be a better vocalist, it's debatable, but ZP just looks a whole lot cooler and puts on a better show.
