Avantasia - Wastelands (Michael Kiske)

Don't understand why power metal doesn't have much influence on non metal artists. Vocally, rhythmically and melodically it is so awesome ! And it doesn't have the dark sound or negativity that alienates some people towards metal. Kiske to me is the king of conveying the angelic power through lows that to me have Elvis, Roy Orbison and Sinatra influences through highs that sound like Bruce Dickinson, Geoff Tate, and Jackie Wilson influence. He really deserves more recognition. It's a shame. I am imagining a Michael Kiske and Mariah Carey duet that will never happen...

busque en youtube el nombre de esta cancion y vi este video le di click. cuando puse pause sin escucharla y fui a tomar agua , termine y regrese me acomode en mi cama y puse play. Senti un gran escalofrio en el comienzo de la cancion luego la escuche completamente y dije es perfecta una obra de arte y salieron lagrimas de mis ojos por volver a escuchar la voz de kiske y con una gran cancion.

Wastelands es una hermosa cancion y muy dentro de mi siento que es un tributo a March of time de Helloween del album "Keeper of the 7 keys pt 2" ambos comienzos son bastante similares, llenos de la misma gloria y nostalgia.

One of the strongest songs out of the two new Avantasia albums! The guitar orchestration is great and Michael Kiske's vocal performance is truly amazing and one of his best in recent years! The song takes you back to Helloween's 80's glory days and the hints of March Of Time are no problem at all for me

With every little part of it I hear I get more and more excited about the new album. Lots of Jorn, Michi singing songs like this. Looks like Avantasia has gone from a power metal project (Metal Opera 1+2) to a more 'radiofriendly' powery metal project (Scarecrow) to a good solid mixture of the two. This will be the best Avantasia ever!
