I drive my hubby mad as I make my golden milk in his milk frother 🤣 I also do cold water therapy, cold showers or a quick dip in the stream ( I also live in Wales 🙂❤️). I learnt about anti inflammatory and alkaline foods when my Mum was diagnosed with cancer almost 20 years ago. Fortunately for me I had just gone wfpb for the animals just before her diagnoses so I was already learning so much and could help my Mum. She went raw vegan before her op and felt really well, she had a 10 hour op, recovered really quickly, turned down chemo and radiation treatments and is still with us now at 82 years old, still wfpb and still loving it ❤️ Do you do Wim's breathing exercises too? The book Breath by James Nestor is a fantastic read 📚 👍 Another great video, thanks Gaz 😁

Good idea. But you might also benefit from Dr. Michael Greger's 'How Not To Die' cookbook. The 'Wholefood Plant Based' eating for health movement (based on science backed evidence) started with him and a few others back in the sixties. I know because this way of eating saved me, when I was very sick with cancer a few years ago. Amazing stuff. And it works.

For rice, you can add dried herbs after the water has finished absorbing and you're letting the rice steam. Only need about 1-2 tbs, just sprinkle it on top and stir through once steamed and you're fluffing the rice. Defo recommend the Persian Sabzi Polo blend (which literally means herbed rice), which is dill, parsley, and coriander (and sometimes chives) in equal quantities.

I live in Northern Germany and they sold local ginger on the farmer‘s market last autumn. So you should be able to grow it in Wales too. It was cool to see Ginger in a much fresher state than you usually do when it comes from Peru for instance.

OMG Love this!!! PLEASE MAKE THESE KIND OF WELLNESS FOOD VIDEOS A SERIES!!!! I am super passionate about helping your body, esp. through flu and winter seasons, with food. Something that helped me a lot when I was dealing with post COVID cough was grinding fresh ginger, lemon, turmeric with some honey and slight pinch of black pepper (adding just a teensy bit of black pepper with turmeric helps your blood absorb turmeric 200% more! You won't even taste the pepper but your body will definitely taste the benefits;)) and I keep it in a jar in the fridge. Just add a spoonful of it with a mug of hot water and its so soothing and helpful! You can also freeze them as ice cubes to make 'healing bombs' and if you don't like the pulp, just strain it before storing!

@elvis Cynthia orozco yes, please keep encouraging them! I got my gallbladder removed suddenly 6 years ago and I regret it!!! If I had only known what I know now I wouldn't have done it. Doctors made it seem as if I didn't have a choice. You can live without your gallbladder but no one tells you all the lifestyle changes you need to make without it. I suffered greatly from digesting ANY fats, even healthy ones for many years after my surgery and I am still figuring out how to heal my digestive issues. Dr. Berg has a lot of videos about it and even a gallbaldder support supplement. I wish your sister and mom luck! They are lucky to have your support!

There's an actual Lobster mushroom... well actually it's a mushroom growing on a mushroom that turns the og shroom red and fishy flavored. I live in the Pacific Northwest and I am lucky enough that they readily grow here! Edit: Super nerdy mycology science facts: H. lactifluorum specifically attacks members of the genera Lactarius and Lactifluus (milk-caps), and Russula (brittlegills), such as Russula brevipes and Lactifluus piperatus in North America.
