I do like how Avanti West Coast have ordered the Class 805 Bi-mode Evero that have replaced the Class 221 Voyagers and the Class 807 Evero which are to be used on Liverpool Lime Street and Blackpool North services. And London Northwestern Railway to introduce the Class 730/2 by the end of this year or in the beginning of next year.

I do think that the Class 730/2s are going to come into service very soon, I agree with you, I think we might be looking December timetable change

The Class 805 Evero Bi-mode are very nice trains. What about the Class 807 Evero that have started operating to Liverpool Lime Street.

Well, you would imagine that they are similar BUT I do have a trip to Liverpool planned in the future so might do a review of them as well

@darrylrichardson7940 sorry I made a typo,I meant to say 807.

Yes, we might have a look at them in the future

I think overall the 805s are an improvement on the Voyagers (smoother ride, better acceleration etc) However, on a recent journey I made, the electronic reservations weren't working, and the announcements were echoing and a bit too loud

I think they are as well and we'll hopefully see the 807s soon as well

Nah i pronounce the 805s like how Freddie Mercury would. Still a fairly relaxed review which is unusual for your channel as i can't remember the last time you reviewed a train.

I think you might see a lot more in the future

MASSIVE STEP BACKWARDS. Ian you mentioned a high speed section with an 805 there is no fast section. they are restricted to 110 mph because they dont lean like the Pendos or Super Voyagers. the 807 are crap as well as they take up that much power from the overhead lines they can not run if there are too many electric trains using the same lines between northern England and Jockland. any electric freight close by and you have had it. Hence the furthest north the 807 will regularly go is Liverpool Lime street or occasional Blackpool. Do not know whos decision it was not to get the 805's to lean avanti or the department of transport but a brand new train that cant do 125 is a piss take in this day and age.

This is true but let's not forget that the ECML has the same issue as well with the sharing between LNER and TPE
@alexpeak16Күн бұрын
There had to be other better options with tilt that could do 125mph - they just took the quick cheap option of the IETs
@darrylrichardson7940Күн бұрын
@@alexpeak16 who took the option Avanti or the department for transport. Dont forget that Avanti are part run by the Italian government or the ITALIAN MAFIA to be more accurate.
