Black Panther was a huge blockbuster, when you got people dressing in their best African wardrobe jyst to go sit an watch the movie, that's when you knew it was a winner. This movie with all do respect portrays a culture thru tribal dress an their actions but has only a few people of color an if they're in the scene as you heard him say they didn't have time to put it in the movie🤦🏾‍♀️ Thanks for sharing your opinion I respect your view point .🙏🏾

I'm just BLOWN AWAY of the Kiwis' respect and love they showed Cameron through the "Ka mate" HAKA they performed for him. Although I grew up in California, I was born and raised in the South Pacific Islands. So as a kid, we all had to learn that same Haka. I have heaps of aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, etc., living in Auckland, New Zealand. I've been there a few times and I remember the first time I visited the Aotearoa (New Zealand) land and one thing that stood out for me quite vividly even now I still have fond memories of it... Was how the people were environmentally friendly. I noticed the majority of the Kiwis drove small automobiles, in fact, I made a special effort to find any SUVs or any of those big trucks like the F350, F250 or even F150 and I couldn't find them on the streets. The people were very mindful in maintaining their land clean and less polluted. I was quite impressed with that because here in the States, everyone's trying to one-up someone else via buying the biggest automobile. Now that HAKA the men performed as part of the movie, I wished it was included in the final cut. But I'll be getting the Producers Cut which could include that particular HAKA. Now, I won't fault Cameron for leaving that piece (Haka) out of the final film because I'll blame his Whiteness or American-ness for NOT understanding the spiritual meaning of that HAKA because any Kiwi Producer would have DEFINITELY included that piece in the final movie because of the sacredness of that Haka to the entire production of the movie. And I doubt Cameron really captured the essence of that HAKA. Because something like that is definitely a NO BRAINER to emphatically include in the final movie and cut something else out. I'm saddened by that because if it were in the movie can you just imagine the ENTIRE country of NEW ZEALAND going to see the movie simply because they want to see the HAKA. EVERY Kiwi kid young and old would be so PROUD of it and they'd be beaming with KIWI PRIDE. I remember a few years back my nephew died from a gang drive-by shooting in Auckland, NZ. He was about 22 yo. At his burial at the cemetery, while my uncle's and other relatives were lowering the casket down into to its resting spot, my nephew's "homies" or friends broke out in a beautifully orchestrated HAKA. I later learned that particular HAKA was a Father's final plead for his son whom passed away. So it was a Father's farewell plead to his Son and it was just an emotional scene to see all these young men and a few young women performed farewell chant for their friend, my nephew.

23:40 - NOW I understand why they finished shooting a year or two ago, but the film will only be out in December. What they did back then wasn't a movie, it was raw material with which to create a movie. The movie is Jim Cameron wandering around on a soundstage with a device like a huge tablet and trying out different shots of the same event, an event that once was an acted performance, but now exists only in a computer.

I am physically disabled for life because of a car Accident when I was 10 months of age it's severely verily damaged the left side of my body because it damaged the right side of my skull my brain. Which gave me partial paralysis for life. The thing that I liked about this movie was the fact that their was no such thing as a disability. If you were disabled as Jake Sully proved You were transported into the body of leave of somebody from avatar. And you lived your life as as a person from avatar. In my life I have gone through 819 major surgeries since 1963. I have had a grand total of 1500 different procedures give or take. And my body has died Clinically about 50 or 60 times during these surgeries. Yet when I watch this movieIt made me feel that you can truly accomplish anything you put your mind too.

There will be no “Haka,” James Cameron and Cliff Curtis (The Kiwi star in the second film) have made it expressly clear that no “Haka,” will take place, BUT!! Don’t lose hope, because they are still creating a haka inspired dance that is more culturally appropriate for the water tribe. They are just also taking inspiration from many other cultures as well so they can make their own dance rather than stealing a very valuable cultural practice. Which I am personally very happy about because it feels disrespectful to rip off a māori dance and then call it “alien,” or “otherworldly,” when it’s a normal thing for them and very important. (My source is from 2018, Rotorua haka performers inspire Avatar 2 film published by Te Ao; Māori News)

08:56 In a way it's sad that Wes Studi doesn't get much recognition because of his work done in this movie, though I can sorta get it, because he's role as Oloeyktan isn't as big. When the Stephen Lang Character said, "Did two tours in Nigeria myself," I kinda wondered why Jim Camron specifically picked Nigeria as his location choice. At first, didn't think much of it since it's just talking heads dialogue scene. But then, throughout the movie, there's that Navi phrase that kept popping up: "I see you,". Now, it didn't quite hit me until the final scene where Natyiri saves Jake from suffocating. As she cuddles him and tearfully says, "I see you," my mind went straight to the Igbo language spoken in South east Nigeria. The phrase: "a fụrụ m gị n'anya," echoed in my head when she said that. Its meaning? I love you. But, the LITERAL translation is: "I see you." I shit you not. Now, I don't know if there's any other "human" language on our planet with this same literal translation. If you do, please, chime in.

Correction: The German word order is NOT S-O-V, it's S-V-O (subject - verb - object) if there's no auxiliary. If there is an auxiliary, then the word order is S-V-O-T-P-V, i.e. "I have with my friend on Monday to the store gone." (Ich bin mit meinem Freund am Montag in den Laden gegangen.). I still absolutely love the movie though! :-)
