Sokka was usually the one to waste money? Katara was usually the one being sensible about their money which makes sense since she was the one taking care of Sokka since childhood, she did the cooking, laundry, buying of goods. she has a better sense of what could and couldn’t be afforded than anyone else on their team (besides maybe Sukki later on) more often than not it was Katara who who was being the sensible one…it’s kinda the whole point of her character

@@spadinnerxylaphone2622 Right but wasn’t Katara the one who even told Sokka to get a job when he complained about them not having money and in your original comment you said that he “acknowledge that they need to be able to buy food and supplies, not out of greed but necessity…so that they don’t starve” which isn’t true since he would regularly spend or want to spend on random things that were very costly and would take away from their meager funds. Katara’s always been the one to be on top of their income and making sure their money was stable, Sokka is smart and sensible but more so in terms of strategy and planning rather than domestic fairs like monitoring his money, he only ever thinks about money when they’ve already run out and it becomes an immediate problem
