Not many people outside the fandom know about the comics anyhow, and it's really only good if they decide to make a Book 4: Air, which likely isn't in their plans (it doesn't seem like kind of the adaptation to expand on the original like that).

This was release in early 2000 but when I think about it, avatar is alrdy ahead of its time. The animation, the fight scene its so fluid. Even the sarcastic joke is like a joke from 2020. Trully a masterpiece!

First time watching it as a kid, i was so happy Azula the monster is defeated. But now as an adult, i feel pity for her. Shes just a kid in a really bad environment. Got her twisted personality drilled on her by her father, who treat her as a trophy and a tool. Secretly longing for a mothers love. Lost her only friends in the worst time possible. Fighting in a war at a very early age. And suffered a nervous breakdown after defeat. She like only 14 or 15 iirc.

According to Avatar Canon Ty Lee became a legendary member of the Kyoshi Warriors, protecting Fire Lord Zuko on numerous occasions, was Iroh's personal guard when he temporarily assumed the thrown, stopped several conflicts between benders and non benders and was still active as a KW into her 40's. Does a child who is the product of grooming by an egomaniac deserve to lose everything they ever wanted? Azula is not a good person, and it's good she lost, but many people forget she's just a child, favored as a weapon of destruction by an explicitly abusive parent. All of her worst tendencies were actively encouraged by Ozai. She's never loved for who she is. The best she gets is superficial praise from an ultimately uninterested parent (so long as she's perfect) or stable, reliable FEAR from others. She's such a stranger to love that she cannot even understand people's motivations from that perspective. Mei said it best: "You miscalculated. I love Zuko more than I fear you." At the moment of her defeat, she is completely alone, and by her own estimation, worthless. Did she deserve to lose? Yes. Is she a monster? Yes. Is that her fault? Well... I'd say no. In that way, she's just another of her father's victims.

Yeah, essentially every pillar of her identity and beliefs was torn down. She lost everything she had in the process of getting everything she wanted and discovered the treasure chest at the end of success was empty. Nothing had changed with her father when she accomplished everything he wanted. He gave her a meaningless title while elevating himself to a greater one, then left. She didnt feel any different for all her work. Her trust and belief in her hold of fear over everyone to ensure their loyalty was put to question when those she held onto most closely turned against her, never knowing they hadnt stopped fearing her. And finally ofcourse as you stated, was her belief in her supremacy, represented by her brother. But then when he appears and starts fighting her toe to toe when she's at her most powerful, that starts being shaken too. She is supposed to defeat him handedly. Worst of all, she cheats but gets defeated by a waterbender of all things. No wonder she has a massive breakdown. Everything holding her persona was knocked down.

@@BuffPomsky It's the FINAL episode, it's natural that people cry. I'm sure I did too. Avatar's last episode is an epic, yet still a bittersweet end to a great journey. Also, not all crying's are because of sadness. Sometimes it can be out of excitement, fear, anger and other feelings. Like the scene where Sokka's leg breaks, or the one where Toph is about to fall are both pretty fearful, thrilling scenes; some people might react to them with crying, some with laughing. all are natural.
