Could you maybe make in depth videos for each playbook in the quickstart and compare them to characters in atla/lok? I think it would be good content for your channel and a fun video to watch.

Why are all the conditions basically Zuko?

My brother wants to play the Avatar in our family game, this helped me rule the Avatar State. It’s every positive condition at once and exiting it grants a point of fatigue.

Great video thank. you when your running a game so you use more positive or negative status. And do you think the way you clear conditions are backwards. Like shouldn't someone overcoming what they are afraid of also should clear that condition
@krisfire3 жыл бұрын
No Problem! I personally think Its something that should be spoken about between the player inflicting a status and the GM. Like if they want to inflict a specific status, (For example) The trapped status, they should talk to the GM about how they preform the move to trap them (Earth bender dropping an enemy into a sinkhole). I always think its best for a player to explain what their doing, and their intentions behind the move. If they are doing something for a specific reason a GM should work with them to find a way for that something to happen. I personally think it could be dual purpose. If they've had a fight where they didnt overcome their rival it makes sense the way the devs have it set. But as a GM I think thats something you can reward your players with, (Clearing a condition or two for free) by finishing a story beat like beating a rival. I think they have it this way is because even if you win the fight, theres still gonna be some long term consequences. You messed up and you underestimated the foes and got yourself or another person hurt. You're now angry with yourself for not doing better. Catch my drift? Great questions!

These videos are a HUGE help. I’m going to run a Avatar Legends game soon and still learning the system and this clearing up a lot of confusion for me.

Can you maybe explain a way to home-brew a semi health system as well, basically just a way to kill NPC's/ players for those who want a more serious game
@VJArt_3 жыл бұрын
I am thinking of maybe like you can choose to knock out or kill a character once they got all of the conditions
@krisfire3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, you got it right there. This system is basing on avatar logic where no one ever really dies unless its old age! (Unless we count, X character lol) and as such its a bit toned down. I would personally allow it as a choice, wither you critically injure them which can lead to you offing them or you knock them out.

There my be more then I remember but there like 7 people that died not by age all the other characters that dead are faceless badguy side characters
