Where do you get your clips for your videos? They are always very clever.

These shots are taken directly from the pdf for the game. I still haven't gotten my Kickstarter, but I'm hoping they get here soon. A few of the shots were from the avatar app on my phone.

@@LegendaryTactics I was actually wondering about the little random video clips you use throughout your videos like the clown putting on makeup and the balanced rocks on the river shot.

@@boardgametotears Ah, right! Those are stock footage that we get with the essentials package in WeVideo.

Love the focus on narrative and storytelling tips for new GMs! Number 2, having fun with failure, is very key! Theres a reason that the game avoids phrases like “failing a roll” its not a failure it’s a “miss”. The character just doesn’t accomplish what they specifically set out to do but they do something. Every roll should push the story forward! If theres no interesting consequence for a miss you probably shouldn’t roll. Great tips!

Fantastic video! My one critique is: don't necessarily think of yourself as a "storyteller". That implied that you make a story, and tell it to them. As opposed to that you make a world, and maybe a plot outline, and then you all tell the story.

I'm so nervous, It was my idea to invite 3 of my friends to a pizza party and play it next Tuesday but I just hope my story telling is good enough. I've spent all week reading Goerge R. R Martin books and watching anime story summary specifically AoT to have inspiration to draw from. On the off chance do you offer courses ?
@LegendaryTactics Жыл бұрын
I don't do courses in this. If there's enough interest in this video, I'll be happy to cover this subject more though. What's important is just to jump in and have fun. Leave room for the other participants to create some of the narrative as you go. It takes the pressure off you. I actually found that I really over-prepared for each session. I would have about 5 locations ready to go and of course they only chose 1 and spent the whole time there in each session. I'm sure you'll have a great time.
