the problem is, i have made a world with avatars in it. however i can't get the player to interract with the avatar pedestals in the game and equip the avatar. they just look like decoration i don't know if this is a unity issue or not but i have no idea if this is normal or not, and i certainly have no idea how to fix it. do you know anything about this issue??

question, i cant seem to find a specific tutorial for this, but you (or know anyone) who can replace the pedestals themselves with the actual model? ive seen lots of them in the vr markets and was curious how to do it. if you dont know how, thanks for reading this anyway

Just import the 3d model into your unity project and drag it into the scene. If it's not going to be animated then use a program like blender to remove all the bones and blendshapes/shapekeys and export it as a static mesh renderer (rather than a more computationally expensive skinned mesh renderer).

@@Shawn_SGCL I have kind of sort of managed to do this, what I did was I added the model to the world(in my case a puffle from club penguin) and I just added the ‘VRC Avatar pedestal’ component to the avatar itself (making sure it had a collider of course) I realized that it just puts the plane inside of the puffle which in my case it just fits neatly inside and gives the illusion of clicking the puffle itself though I’m not sure if it would work as well with a humanoid model

@@cozyvrc I was doing it with a plane so I had to figure something else out myself. I used my model with the clickable planes but I put a tiny cube inside it then extended the collider box over my pedestal model
