2:38 It looks like the sweet spot is 50% of the diameter of the entire lens. That's still bigger than the Vive Fresnel lens, although Beyond's pancake lens is much smaller too. It's too bad there aren't many reviewers people out there who own both the Vive Pro and the Beyond. I never owned any super wide field of view headset and the Vive Pro seems very big for me with the official thin leather pad.

I have mixed feelings about both this game and tears of the kingdom. On one hand they are great games y'know but at the same time I preferred the older zelda formula, and due to the huge success of these games, older styled Zelda games are probably going to be quite rare to get.

thank you for the candid review. mine arrives tomorrow and i'm so nervous about the fit being right after waiting so long for it. this review was interesting to me bc my main reason for buying the beyond was comfort, which is of course relative. i'm also upgrading from an index, which felt comfortable for the first 1000 or so hours but now feels very heavy and uncomfortable on my face (the broken head strap doesn't help, but i'm out of warranty). i'm hoping the beyond will be better in that regard. i'll come back and update this comment if i remember.

What about work? Forget about video games, can it be used for enterprise level work like AppleVision Pro? Check it out, getting a BigScreen VR headset and a Meta Quest 3 makes entertainment and remote work or virtual operations complete and convenient at $1600. Thats still half of how much a AppleVision Pro cost, Apple needs to chill tf out fr. /Update: That's going to be for work and minimal entertainment features, that would make the most sense, and if comes with image projection from an external device. It has a standard linear design perfect for sitting down, not sweating and working a newly created job and workforce in a future career. Too easy to know what that would even be used for, it's a perfect replacement in cost compared to all the displaced enterprise level bitlockd or rogue laptops but businesses keep losing.

4:10 red dead take is pretty bad the story was peak and the conclusion was extremely satisfying. Arthurs story of redemption which handles the themes of mortality, guilt, family and betrayal fit the game perfectly and are very developed.

Index user with a 3090 here : I'm glad I found this video for this main issues of limited 'sharp' view, long term comfort, and fan noise. I was very close to getting this device as a supplemental device. But applaud big screen for the customer support and risking entering a very niche. My future will be with the aging index by adding eye tracking and face (mouth) tracking and putting up with the weight and cabling damaged over my 3+ year usage.

TP just looks like a product of its time. TWW is ageless. Cartoony art styles carry far more longevity than realism. It's the same reason things like The Last Airbender still hold up today

Thanks for the honest review. I just got my quest 3 a few weeks ago and was considering investing in more VR but I will skip the big screen beyond. Even the minimal amount of glare on the quest 3 bothers me sometimes.

They really sacrificed too much on the optics stacks just to make it as small as possible. I dont think anyone would have minded the lenses to be 1.5x larger and the housing be ab it larger to accommodate. The glare is really the most unfortunate part, if they fix the glare issue in a v2 they are golden.

Love this! I do have a question about how to slow down the speed of the Stars Particle system. Changing the simulation speed has no effect. If it's possible to have the stars static in the sky, that would be perfect.
