This show barely influenced me when I was younger but when I rewatched it was when it really impacted me. When I was younger, I always hated Zuko's development because it seemed so dumb to me how he was given so many opportunities to be who he wanted to be yet he always threw them away. As I got older, I realized more and more how I'm no different and how much I can relate to zuko's struggle and it makes me just ask myself so many questions. I had been and have been struggling with a lot of stuff internally and it wasn't until I related it to Zuko that I truly understood what I was struggling with. Every time I hear Iroh's quote ask about who he is and what does he want, i realize I can't even answer those questions about myself, and it feels as though Iroh is yelling at me instead of Zuko...

Sadly, I didn’t get to watch Avatar growing up because I was too young to know it existed but, after finally getting to watch it, I can’t help but get emotional. Yes I’m not an original fan but this show truly can never be dated. It is a timeless story with amazing colors and themes and I can see how it shaped a whole generation. I feel the exact same way about the show. I was only 4 when the show ended and for some reason, can't really recall any of Korra except for small things. ATLA gives me so much happiness and I haven't gotten into a show this good ever. Not only that but avatar has one of the most welcoming fandoms and most of them are really nice from my experience. I'm so happy to have a show to teach me how to be so much better. If I'm honest, depression has always been an issue for me, and watching avatar has made me a lot better. I just finished watching Korra, which isn't as bad as everyone says it is, and now dipping into the comics. there's so much content and I just really, really love this.

The Last Air Bender is truly the best show ever In human history. Try changing my mind. One fact to support this is that this show can NEVER and I mean NEVER get old. I remember when I had nothing to watch but god presented ATLA and It felt like the hole in my heart was filled. I rewatched ATLA 7 times in total and NO TIME did I ever wonder ‘Hey, this is getting pretty boring..’ I never ever said that and I never will. Avatar will never die out, it is one of the shows you can watch repeatedly and never get bored. Thank you Gaang, for all the memories.

it reminds me when i woke up in the morning at age 7/8, with excited feeling i was waiting for the Avatar to show on tv. This track always played when Aang and his friends fly with appa in the night with peaceful ending. I’m gonna be real with you all. I watched this show periodically as a kid, didn’t really understand the plot, but I understood there were four elements and that people could control those. I remember being in swimming pools and just having the water flow through my hands to make me feel like I was a waterbender. But as soon as I heard this show was coming to Netflix, I said “fuck it, why not?” and watched the whole series, and holy fuck. It’s so much better than I could ever have imagined. It’s an amazing journey front to back and I wish I could erase it from my mind to watch it all for the first time again. Right after I watched the final episode, I turned on this song, and I just started crying. I don’t know why. This song just feels perfectly tranquil and in harmony. This is the kind of song I’d be playing at my wedding while staring at my s/o, while gazing into their eyes. Just full of love and harmony.

I love how Atla kinda symbolizes all of us, having to grow up and all. Similarly to Aang, we all have to grow up sooner or later and face the consequences of our actions and the actions of people around us. Unlike when we were kids and we could be carefree, we have to start being more responsible. But we still can choose how we grow, like how each character changed differently, so will we. This show was one of the greatest ever made, and probably the best kids show. It manages to illustrate the problems in modern society without burdening the children watching and showing it in a fun and enjoyable way. I love how every part of the series from the music to the plot is so perfectly thought out and put together. I also love how this series can easily be made into a book series, especially since it has comics and all, unlike other shows and I think it helps the show that it can be. Personally, it is as good as some of the best book series, like Harry Potter, I wouldn't be able to choose the better one. I absolutely love Atla.

Idk why but this song brings me such mixed emotions. I feel the love, joy, freedom and lightness, the purity of it all. At the same it’s almost like a sadness, a longing for something real and everlasting. It makes me think about how I wish avatar could never end. That they never grow up. That they never die. i can't even begin to describe the feeling this song gives me. even though avatar was never necessarily a 'childhood' show for me, i watched it recently and i can definitely say that i felt empty when it finished haha... i always felt so bad for aang, knowing that all he ever knew was taken from him, and that he was the last of his kind. i really sympathized for that kid, but even then he was so mature about it all, one of the reasons i love him so much. hearing this song, i think about him and i feel grief, my heart feels so heavy at this song for some reason even though it's supposed to be cute and calm and peaceful. i get so sad and hurt by it, and i think aang and imagine how he felt. i imagine this is how he felt, happy and cheerful on the outside always and overall a happy kid, but an underlying sense of loneliness, and just frankly, sadness and regret. the entire concept of that is just.. so sad..even for a show.

I could recall the scene where Toph sees through that guy's scam in book 3 (The Runaway). I remember that scene with perfect clarity, I was so enthralled by it. If I think about ATLA now, I realize that it was the only show that I cared about, even though I didn't know what was happening. Now 10 years later I've finished the show and I'm overcome with nostalgia. When that scene came I started crying (well, I cried a lot when it came to this show, but mostly happy tears). When I finished the show a month ago with my 8-year-old brother, we both cried. I'm so happy that they finally got the peace and love that they deserved from the very beginning. I'm rambling now, but this show brings that out of me. :)

I'm from Russia and like many people I watched Avatar on the Nickelodeon channel. Ah, those times when you wait everyday for a new series to be shown and watch it without taking your eyes off the screen... I'm 23 now, but I won't get tired of watching this show and love it with all my soul, it has so much wisdom, philosophy, sincere kindness... Honestly, I've never seen a brighter show in my life. I love the world of Avatar with all my soul, it's always so nice to come back to it, as if after a long journey you come back to your home, where they love and wait for you. The Last Airbender will never get old and never be forgotten.

im not gonna lie i've never fully watched the show when i was a child. to be honest, i actually consider myself lucky to experience one of the greatest shows of all time for the first time yesterday, but now that its over, i can't help but be on a verge of tears every time i think about it. the moment the avatar's love started playing at the final moments of the show, ive never felt the most happiest but shittiest feeling ever. everything about atla was just pure bliss, im happy to see the whole atla community through this same feeling :).

drewvans i’m not lying when i said i teared up everytime i thought of avatar the week after i finished LMAO. it’s been a few months and the feeling honestly just settled it on itself, i would use to watch a bunch of yt related videos to it just to understand more of its background, meaning, values, and etc. legend of korra came out recently too so maybe watching it could help close in on your post depression :)

i rewatched this last year during the lowest of my depression. this was the only thing that gave me a sense of gratitude. it let me experience both sides of nostalgia. i wish i was a kid again. i ruined my life in so many ways, but this show gave me hope to move on. im still alive so thank you team avatar, for enlightening me for what life could be. to be able to watch this as a kid, i didnt even know about the gold that was hidden inside this show along.

I just finished watching the series again. I first saw it when I was a child and it came out in Nick. Now at 23 having seen it again made me feel like a kid again. Its was seeing old friends again and now that its over I feel like crying. Ive grown to love all the characters so much that it pains me to know its over. Such a great timeless show.

The little *pang* my heart feels everytime the kalimba comes in just sums up every emotion I feel about the show. Sure, I feel the happiness I felt while watching it, but it really makes me think about how much this show has shaped me as a person, and how it’s shaped everyone who’s watched it. Not only that, but it’s taught me so many lessons on how we really need to start showing each other the love that they deserve. Cause in the end, we’re all a part of the same world. the best show ever. no questions asked. the nostalgia is heavy thinking back to younger days when i lived in my hometown hanging out with my og friends and watching atla with my family stress free. Now im 15 and my sister is going off to college next year and its so hard to take in that i wont live with my sister anymore and ill be all alone but with my parents without my sister to talk to and hang out with. I am also realizing who real friends are which is difficult and hard to decide who im cutting out of my life. I hope everyone who listens to this song cherishes today and makes the absolute most out of life they possibly can. you may think that you are looking back to the "good ol days" and that you are older now and life isn't as good anymore but at somepoint you will look back on these days thinking these days were the good days. be grateful for good health especially in these times and maximize on good times while you still can. :)

Honestly, I read this as though my own little brother wrote this because I am to go to college next year and leave my 15 year old brother soon. He’s my best friend in the entire world. We used to watch Avatar together on Saturday mornings when we were little. As the older sister, I’m so afraid to leave him. I love him more than anything in the entire world. To think that after next year will probably be the last time I ever live with my brother the way that I did makes me cry. Looking back, I didn’t really have any friends as I grew up, but having a little brother as amazing as him allowed me to forget that idea for so long. I assume your sister feels similarly in terms of her love for you. Distance will not cause your bond to break. I wish you and your sister a good live full of happiness and love my friend!

Honestly I’m a little scared for the new live action series to come out. I much rather have a continuation of the original animated. It’s just it has some big shoes to fill, like the tales of ba sing se episode and the very very very iconic voices. Not to mention the first attempt of a live action that flopped and also supposedly replaced what could’ve been an amazing 4th season. I also hope they’ll put in the amazing og soundtrack. There is just so many amazing feels from the og series. And again, those voices!! Those voices were so iconic. I mean, it’ll never be the same, ya know?

The nostalgia hit really hard, I'm crying right now. If this song doesn't play when they are showing the pictures at my funeral I will be upset. Also listening to this with headphones and just letting the music surround you just makes the nostalgia even greater.
