I personally try my best to avoid a comparison with the animated series, Only a few live adaptations out there do better or at least OKAY as compared to their animated series counterparts.

Unfortunately it's impossible to do a comparison without the source material. Even if they want to make changes due to it being an adaptation, which of course is right. If the changes counteract the particular narrative they are trying to push. It becomes a problem. It's basically a "you couldn't live with your own failure and where did that lead you... Back to me" scenario
