Im not sure with the professor Zei - Library connection. Professor Zei was originally their guide to Ba sing se since he worked at the university. Then once the gang were in the city, the university students they met gave them a bit of an introduction to the corruption of the city. I can see professors zei just being a plot device to get out of the desert/ to Ba Sing Se and a bit of a guide once they’re in the city. I might just be overly skeptical tho 😂

I have a feeling that's not Wan Shing Tong, I mean the owl did not say his name, Aang did not ask the owl's name, and Katara just referred to the owl as "the owl". Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know.

Season 1 casting was great. There was like atleast 3 from Lost and those characters were some of my favourites in that series.

They should've just saved money for OPLA instead this project is already sinking I have not even a crumb of excitement for this series I know its not the actor/actress fault and they actually excited to play the role and yadayada but the director/producer/writer of this live action definitely doesn't care about the original source material and that's the bigget red flag since season 1

I don’t think it’s them either. It’s Netflix. They refuse to give them the resources the need (aka better writers, more episodes) to properly tell the storyline. There are just some shows that should stay animated and Avatar is one of them, and it’s worse that Netflix is in charge of it.

yeah casting is great but the problem i have is they butcher the character and core spirit of avatar that made the avatar one of the great..everything else is good like cast,cgi,show of power that what make me sad.i got to know mike and bryan the creator of avatar left the show few month before season 1 air because netflix don't keep spirit of avatar.And director of live action want to make avatar like game of throne i read article.If you want to make like game of throne dont make avatar series just make other series..sigh..sorry waffling a bit just want to release my dissapointment

The "Amita" character is concerning to me. On the official Facebook page, her description says that she is trying to "break into the mover industry"...except movers aren't invented until Varrick and Korra's lifetime, so this means they are pushing technological progression forward by 70+ years and making television exist during Aang's life. Biggest what-the-fuck change I've ever seen come out of a live action adaption

@KorotoTV update: it appears this was actually a misunderstanding, the page that originally posted this was a fan page who mistakingly conflated Amita's description with the description of Amrita, the character from the LOK RPG. No movers in ATLA, thank god
