@@rochan9017 One Piece in general is way more cartoony from the character designs to the powers, like... your main character can stretch his body, and you got characters with horns for no apparent reason. Avatar is more "grounded in reality", the characters have realistic designs and the powers they use are just elements so nothing looks out of the ordinary.

No, they focus only on book 1 stuff, with the only known thing from other two books are Azula and Ozai (by that I mean fully shown Ozai). Actually, in book 1 gaang travels through Earth Kingdom a lot. Kyoshi Island, Jet’s hideout, Hei Bai’s forest, Pohuai stronghold (the one from Blue Spirit), Bumi was introduced in book 1 too and he was in Omashu whitch is in Earth Kingdom. Actually most of book 1 takes place in Earth Kingdom before they finally reach Water Tribe. It's called ,,Water" only because that's the element Aang learns during season 1 (and because his goal for this book is to find a master of waterbending).

They're only doing season 1. Theres also more total runtime in the live action than in season 1 of ATLA so things shouldn't feel rushed, especially if they're cutting out unimportant things. They also want to use some of that extra runtime to develop characters like Azula and Ozai a little more which is why they're here when in the animated version they show up in season 2 and 3.

The gang actually goes to the earth kingdom territory in book 1. Kiyoshi island, the great devide, omashu, etc. They even got to the fire nation in cresent moon island. Maybe u forgot because they weren't the destination for book 1.

actually at least 2 of the original voice actors from the original series are going to be in the live action series, its just that one of them will be in a different role. Daniel Dae Kim was the original voice actor for General Fong, but is in the Live action as Firelord Ozai (he was also Hiroshi Sato in Korra). And James Sie does return as the Cabbage Merchant. so you will get to see and hear that imfamous line in live action lol. oh little put together fact, Daniel Dae Kim and James Sie are the ONLY cast members to have been in all 3 versions (airbender, korra, and live action)

I'm pretty sure they're only doing the first book. They are showing some characters early, such as the Firelord and Azula. But I'm excited that they don't seem to be cutting out any of the minor characters of the show. We see Bumi, Jet, June, and Hei Bai. Appa looks amazing! Momo looks great! The bending isn't over the top martial arts moves to move a single pebble. It's clean and clear moves and strikes. The shot of Bumi shooting those discs of earth during his fight with Aang looks incredible!

A lot of people are worried about things like the run time covering everything but think about this if they do 8 eps at around 50mins each thats pretty much the full run time of book 1 at around 20 eps at 20mins each.

They are not *really* covering as much as you mistakenly think. They do go to Omashu in Book/season 1. They probably added a bit of Azula to underline how much of a menace she is and keep people hooked for Season 2 and they show the face of Ozai, because it doesn't work very well to keep the face of a very prominent actor hidden for such a long time. Outside of that they seem to show the original destruction of the air temple, which is a great addition IMO. I have seen nothing that points to going much further than the animated shows season 1.

In the first season, they also do show the scene of Zuko in the Agni Kai against Ozai. Albeit, they never show his face, just his backlit outline as he walks towards Zuko, and we get a hint of his menacing voice("You WILL learn respect"). That doesn't really translate over as well to camera work & lighting, so I'm happy they're doing their own interpretation of that scene. Showing the destruction of the air temple is one of the scenes I think should have been included in the original when Roku was explaining Sozin's Comet to show just how much more powerful it made the firebenders.

The first season is all about book 1. However, for the sake of the story, some elements from later on may be introduced earlier. For example... to tell Zuko's banishment story, they will have to introduce Azula, whose formal introduction is at the beginning of book 2. And, if they introduce Azula, they will also introduce Ty Lee and Mai. And, if they will show the airbenders genocide at the beginning, they will show us Fire Lord Sozin (and you can see him in the trailer).

You guys are confused. They went to Omashu in the Earth Kingdom in season 1. That's where they ran into Bumi. Remember, they had to go from the Southern Water Tribe all the way to the Northern Water Tribe so they stopped in every Kingdom on the way, essentially.

I think you forgot that in season 1 they were travelling the world like going on vacation while they travel to northern water tribe from the south. bumi is from earth kingdom of omashu and that was omashu and not basengsei. Aang got the team stopping on tourist spots before they get to the northern water tribe. It's how they met suki, bumi, and I believe also haru. most of the scenes in the trailer, if not all, are from book one. zuko's back story, bumi and aang's fight, the one in suki's village, the scent creature are all from book one.

Bryan and Mike (the creators) confirmed that they had always planned 3 seasons, there never was a 4th. It wouldn't make sense for the structure if there were. They've taken inspiration from Star Wars. Book 1 with the heroes winning a major victory. Book 2 with the "Fire Nation/Empire Striking back" almost killing our hero, and Book 3 with the hero defeating the "Emperor/Firelord" thus ending the war, wrapping everything up. A 4th season would be like a season long fanservice Epilogue (since the big threat has already been taken care of)

ATLA is my childhood so when that forbidden movie was made, I was so hurt about it. I got skeptical when netflix wants to make the live action series but from the teaser and trailer I guess I can hope for a good experience. I think they've already filmed up to book 2 since they showed scenes of bumi fighting with aang, zuko and iroh exiled, the gaang meeting jet, and and it will be aired for season 2 Can't wait to see rest of the book 2 scenes in live action like Toph mentoring aang, the gaang destroying the drill, and the final fight in the last episode of book 2 where they have a three way face-off against azula and zuko.

I'm sure that everything seen in this trailer is from season 1 of the original show. They get to the Earth Kingdom by episode 4 of the show, and see Omashu in episode 5, which is the city we see here.

This will cover Book 1. In these trailers we see Omashu, the earth kingdom city that Bumi rules over. You guys are thinking of Ba Sing Se which we won't see till Season 2 along with Toph. The run time for this first season will actually be a bit longer than the runtime for the first season of the original cartoon, so we'll be getting some more new or added content like getting to see Sozin and the fire nation actually wiping out the Air Nomads and also seeing more of Ozai and Azula who we really don't get to see much of till in later seasons. I'm predicting and hoping that they keep it very faithful to the original without changing all the good parts and storylines of the original cartoon, but instead just add some cool new stuff and further expand the world, characters, and plot lines, similar to how The Last of Us live action HBO series adapted the video game.

They do get to the earth kingdom (Omashu) in season 1. It's like episode 4 or 5 of the cartoon. They meet Bumi remember? They show Bumi in this trailer. This season covers the entirety of book one. The duration of the season is almost exactly the same as the duration of book one but they do add some extra stuff and combine some episodes and change them up. I believe things like the episode with Haru and The Great Divide got cut. Also Azula has some screen time in this season even though she only shows up in book 2 of the cartoon. Azula and showing Ozai's face is the only thing not from season one that is covered here. That probably means we'll get more extensive Zuko backstories this season as opposed to season 2 when they're shown in the cartoon plus a bit more character work on Azula so that her breakdown in season 3 has a bit more build up. Everything else is strictly from season one of the cartoon.
