Abrites VAG Engine ECU exchange procedure

Hello Friends,
We decided to make a quick video showing the procedure for exchanging an engine ECU. If the engine control unit is EDC17/MED17/Simos, you need to use EP001 - abrites.me/EP001
to read the unit's PIN and CS in boot mode.
The function shown requires the VN002 Special Function - abrites.me/VN002

Supposed I don't have the other second hand ecu cs and pin and suppose the power class is different. What do i do?

Why did you not change vin from donor to host ?

dude please tell me how you read the donor ecu pin code and cs data please i have tried but all i keep getting is the original ecu pin code and cs data ,did you use same car did you read original data and pin code first and then turn off key swap ecu and then read donor ecu through the obd plug then modify the cs and pin code after then write the cs data and pin code from original ecu to the donor ecu please help thank you much appreciated in advance

Is this procedure the unique procedure to do when the ECU is replaced?? What about the codes of the injectors?? Or some other parts of the engine?? (if any)

Hi Josep, it's a unique procedure when adapting the ECU but you should know we're using the same ECU type. The injectors may need to be coded with the OEM software for VAG.

The keys of the car are remains valid for open doors remotely?? Is not necessary to copy the ID of the keys into the donor ECU??

Hi Josep, Not necessary to copy the ID, the only thing going on here is the ECU adaptation. If it was for the cluster adaptation, you need to reprogram the keys. But that's not the case here.

My opinion: I do not like the video, it seems incomplete You have to diagnose the motor, channel 01, read faults. You have not done it. What unit have you adapted? Nobody knows . When you finish adapting the supposed unit, why do not you enter the engine? You have to see the faults (if you have them) ... and us too! What is this video for? for very little, an orientation ... In reality something always happens and sometimes it does not Those who "play with cars" are advi users. Thanks for the video, but if you want all users to earn money and have advi full you should work more on explaining things, and explain them well. a greeting

This operation for clone ecu pcr 2.1 is not avalable for v21 2014,v24 2015 is only for original...only online meton(AMS original abrites)clone abrites is not valid, does not communicate with ecu and gives error!!! Any clone attempt for this cloning method is in vain, just use the original, only you will succeed

BPC GARAGE fvdi comes with an abrites software, where do i get it original? So if i got a clone software, i won’t be able to swap ecm vw?
