So is it okay or is there any reason to use the Volumizing Tonic and the Thickening Tonic together? and if so, which do I apply first?
@DeronEdward Жыл бұрын
You absolutely can! I would apply thickening first then volumizing, but it shouldn’t matter too much which order 😊

Loving the Aveda content! What about using the Volumizing Tonic and the Thickening Tonic together? Is there a specific application process you recommend for each? My objective is to smooth the natural texture of my hair while adding volume at the root and around the face. My hair is fine but I have a lot of it. I have natural texture through the shaft but flat at the root.

Thanks for the kind words! I like to use thickening tonic all over first, comb it through and then go in with volumizing tonic 😊

Hi Deron, Can I use this to dried hair? I tend to wash my hair at night, and I am looking for a spray that I can use in the morning. Thanks!
@DeronEdward2 жыл бұрын
It works best immediately before some sort of heat styling, so if you were going to reset your hair with a blowdryer or some sort of iron yes dry hair is fine (I would spray it in and dry it completely with a blowdryer before putting a hot iron on it) it is not a texturizer spray with a lot of grip, it’s more of a setting spray

Hi, could you tell me the difference between the volumising tonic and the pure abundance style prep please? I have fine , highlighted, dry hair and wondered which one to get. Many thanks in advance
@DeronEdward4 жыл бұрын
Pure abundance prep is great for lift at the root, and for grip, minimal shine, volumizing tonic has glossy shine and is great for setting, like especially if you are using a curling iron on your hair

Just wanna make sure... but when I blow dry my hair and apply pomade, after about an hour or two my hair starts to go flat and lose volume; this product will help prevent that right? 😅 I have an undercut with the top pretty long btw.
@DeronEdward3 жыл бұрын
For your situation I would recommend the Aveda Thickening Tonic rather than the Volumizing Tonic 😊👍🏻

How do you use this on curly hair? I have ringlet curls but my hair is very fine and unfortunately, I’m currently being victimized by age related hair loss. Can you help me?
@DeronEdward3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure I’d recommend this to you, it might make your hair look thinner. You would probably do better with Be Curly Style Prep scrunched in, followed by Phomollient scrunched in. You’ll get a little moisture for your curls and some good fullness, body and shine 😊

Hello! I’ve emailed Aveda twice now for product recommendations with no reply and just get a virtual assistant on chat so thought maybe you could help :) I have very fine, wavy/curly, chemically processed hair. I’m 53 and could probably have some thinning hair as well due to age. I would love to use my natural wave but it just looks too wispy and straggly so I usually blow dry and curl with a large barrel iron but when I add heat my hair gets pretty flat. I would like thicker, volumized hair with less frizz and more shine. I wasn’t necessarily interested in Invati at this time but since my hair needs moisture I was thinking of trying the shampure or brilliant S&C and then the thickening tonic, volumizing tonic or phomollient foam, smooth infusion prep smoother. Thoughts? I completely understand if you can’t comment.

Hi there! Sorry to hear you haven't gotten recommendations from Aveda, and I'll admit it's hard for me to comment without seeing and/or feeling you hair. If you are on instagram or can direct me to pictures of yourself I might be able to offer better advice. From the sound of it Be Curly Style Prep layered with Thickening Tonic might be a good option. Volumizing tonic might make your hair look more wispy. Are you wanting to air dry or diffuse?
@lezlier.66794 жыл бұрын
That’s ok. I actually got a live person for the first time on their website this afternoon instead of the virtual assistant:) I’m off FB and have Instagram but no posts. I would love to be able to just whip a blow dryer through it because I like the shape and volume but it makes my cuticle too rough so it looks dry and frizzy. Not sure there’s a magical product for that ;) I will send you a pic via FB Messenger and hopefully you’ll get it. Thank you SO much!

Hi, I want to use the Be Curly products (2a-2c type). Which step would you recommend this? TIA :)
@DeronEdward4 жыл бұрын
I’d be curious to know how dense and thick or fine your hair is and if it’s been colored or processed, but probably go big on be curly style prep with a small amount of curl enhancer 😊 You could spray this on the end before diffusing or plopping. Tell me more about your styling routine!
@romykruse62664 жыл бұрын
@@DeronEdward thanks for offering to advise me. My hair is medium to high density, fine to medium, and virgin hair. I'm pretty new to styling my hair wavy hair because I had no idea it was textured until recently. I've settled on wet plopping with mousse at my roots and style cream all over on soaking wet hair. Then I apply gel, then dry plop, then add a bit more gel. Finally I diffuse. I'd also like to incorporate a heat protectant in my routine. Also what do you think of Confixor as a gel? Currently I'm not using any Aveda products but I'd like to. I use AG Recoil and I like it a lot as a curl enhancing cream. Sorry this is so long! TIA
@DeronEdward4 жыл бұрын
For your routine I’d probably recommend Confixor before Volumizing Tonic, Confixor is a bit better for holding the locks together. And you could easily incorporate heat relief as a spray on heat protectant before your diffuse, it’s virtually weightless 😊

Are you using this with Be Curly?
@DeronEdward3 жыл бұрын
I don’t usually, typically I’d use Confixor or Phomollient with Be Curly, they help hold the locks together where Volumizing Tonic is better for separation
