Fue para mi todo un honor y un placer poder ver a Josephine Baker actuar en persona, en 1968 en el teatro del Tivoli de Copenhaguen.Que maravilla! Que vestuario! Que Simpatía! Se comía el Escenario! Siempre fui fan suyo y seguiré siéndolo hasta que me llegue mi hora .Muchas de las cantantes actuales tendrían mucho que aprender de ella, por ejemplo a no salir en un escenario con harapos .

What a voice...! In the early recordings, like most singers and vocalists in those days, her voice sounded a bit different and distorted, but in recordings done after the 50's, 60's and 70's the quality of the recordings was closer to today's standards.

Au moment de cet enregistrement Josephine Baker vivait un drame. Elle voyait son domaine des Milandes, au bord de la Dordogne où elle vivait avec ses enfants adoptés, saisit car elle n’avait plus d’argent malgré ses galas pour financer sa petite famille.
