Actually, yeah, there was more (a lot more) to that "Carnal Sins" mission indeed. lol but all is well!

You missed a major clue near Whistling Wendy, one that was crucial for me to catch the real murderer on my first playthrough. If you talk to Wendy again after Geralt is done investigating all clues there, he will summarize: From the tracks, he concludes that Priscilla was attacked, but fought back in some way. Perpetrator took a step back (weight on the back of the foot), then he climbed or jumped over that high wall. "Even I couldn't jump that wall", Geralt says. And while Nathaniel Pastodi is inhumanely cruel, there has been nothing that suggests he has any superpowers. Then factor in Joachim's line: "30 years and you haven't aged a day", which strongly hints at Mr. Rejk not being a normal person. So naturally I was surprised when I found Pastodi at Crippled Kate's. Hence I questioned him.

And also if you "press" Joachim about info, he tells you that Rejk was his professor in college, and the guy is at least 50-60, so no way he still looks like that

I see others already spoiled the "Carnal Sins" quest in the comments, so I won't avoid the subject. I found it really interesting how you reacted so emotionally to the situation at Crippled Kate's and decided to just slay Nathaniel without speaking to him first. And this after you spent a good bit of the episode pondering what it means for a witcher to be "devoid of emotions". Emotions can get in the way of your logical faculties if you let them. This questline is a great one, because it challenges you to remain detached in order to get true justice. Like a good detective - or witcher - must. Great episode though, and I hope you don't reload, but simply reflect on your choices.

She just got overexcited for being mislead unbeknownst to her and didnt read the other two options which clearly raise some good questions. Well it happens, now if she feels she wants to redo it, I think it's fine, I would or just watch the result on YT. In the grand scheme of things it doesnt matter much. Great quest nonetheless.

You started Witcher 3, 4 months ago. At this rate, you're going to be beat it similar to how long it took me. Granted I started in May and finished in November. Probably the greatest gaming experience I ever had. Keep going. There is so many more incredible moments to come. I feel like you barely even scratched the surface, lol (as hard as that is to believe)

There is more to the Carnal Sins quest. Nathaniel isn't serial killer. He is a women abuser. You also had an option to ask about formaldehyde to Nathaniel. FIND THE CORONER FOR MOREE

Hey Sienna! 💜 8:58 - I don't recall the books saying much about this. My own take is that this "not choosing sides" is Geralt's personal code (which he ends up straying from over and over), and perhaps it's also a practical thing for witchers. Because witchers are barely tolerated in society, and are very powerful and dangerous. So I guess the last thing witchers need is more attention or a bad rep by taking part in power struggles or rebellions. This is why Letho assassinating kings was a big deal. Hard to do business as a witcher when people think you're also toppling kingdoms. Oh, and Witcher Schools have been wiped out in the past by violent mobs (even the School of the Wolf was almost wiped out at one point - within Vesemir's lifetime even). Oh, and witchers aren't void of emotions. Their emotions are just more subdued than that of humans maybe, but they definitely have strong emotions. Geralt is particularly stoic, so maybe he just says the whole void of emotions bit as an excuse to not care about something (but he does feel deeply, and the slightest smile or the most fleeting expression of sadness on Geralt would speak volumes). 22:17 - He is indeed older than he looks...but do you really believe being around embalming fluids and working with corpses would really make one age slower? If so, it would've been a far more popular profession. :) 40:10 - As others have pointed out, Nathaniel was NOT the serial killer - and he would've told you who was. You'll eventually hear things or find hints that the murders actually continue. I'm not gonna spoil anything else in case you want to redo this part. But DM me if you want to know what really went down. :) 47:30 - I would've saved Legendary cards til the last round since they can't be brought back by Medic cards, but still, the end result of this match was never in doubt for me. :) 51:41 - Shani is a character in the books. A friend of Dandelion's as well. She and Geralt...had a thing. 1:06:09 - You did good. I wouldn't bother to use fire or poison against a rock elemental. Probably just use Quen then swing away. Really glad to see you regularly again. See you on stream! 💜

9:30 Witcher's dont really lack emotions they are perfectly capable of feeling every emotion. The lack of emotion thing is just a myth or hoax that ppl thinks is true because they only work for coin. Geralt just sarcastically says we don't feel any emotions to get out of situations basically.

The trial of the grasses suppresses their emotions, but the emotions are still there, lurking under the surface. It's a very interesting aspect to the story. Gives the witchers a mysterious depth, since they aren't always wearing their emotions on their sleeves.

"Evil is evil ... greater, lesser, middling ... makes no difference ... If I'm to choose between one evil or another, I'd rather not choose at all ..." And in the trailer - Geralt DOES choose to save the woman who is about to be hanged from a tree Not doing something is often more evil than standing by - his "choice" was not to do the evil thing by turning away "The Trial of the Grasses", the process by which Geralt became superhuman, is brutal ... only 30% survive, and this leads people to think that these killing machines are devoid of morals or emotions WE know differently! ... but it suits the Witchers to keep up this fake mystique when negotiating contracts or facing down a potential enemy Dijkstra saw through that nonsense last episode ... "Bollox! that's what you lot hide behind when the going gets hot!" [pardon my Reuvenese!]

Witchers simply are not avoid of emotion at all - that is a plain lie that is very widespread amongst the population. Witcher's emotions certainly work differently than other humans' but as you correctly observed Geralt acts emotionally all the time. He himself likes to lean into the stereotype sometimes when it suits him (see conversation with Dijkstra after Triss's departure).

the witchers and emotions is the difference between passion and reason , their emotions are not void they are supressed even if you do not share the emotions , one can observe the resulting acts with reason

Might wanna replay the part where you find Nathaniel at the inn and ask him why first.. I get that it's an emotional mission but reacting with your emotions isn't always the play. Gotta wonder why he would go out of his way to elaborately stay hidden to keep his ritual killing going but then so willingly get caught out in the open at some inn? Doesn't add up. Oh and trust me you'll deliver Nathaniel absolute justice no matter what 👍🏻

The poker you got is a special weapon, if you use it, it will keep the glow. It looks pretty nice during night time, though it is not a 'good' weapon looking at the stats. Btw, you missed quite a few hints, and got the "wrong" guy. Nathaniel wasn't the murderer. 😉

Hey, I enjoy watching your playthrough of the Witcher. I’ve tried 2 other times in the past to play it and couldn’t get hooked. I watch some of your earlier videos on it and decided to give it a try. I absolutely love the game now! Don’t listen to others trying to critique your decisions or how you play, the developers made it so it’s your own unique journey and to play it however you feel. Otherwise, they wouldn’t add multiple choices and different outcomes. Take care

Witchers as a teenage boys experience a ritual called the trial of the grass. If you play longer and play the add-ons you will learn more. Various side effects may occur during them. One of them is the stripped Geralt of emotions. However, there are other Witchers like Lambert who react more emotionally. However, Geralt's moral compass relates more to the books, e.g. the story “the lesser evil,” where, when choosing between lesser and greater evils, he preferred not to choose at all. I think I've explained it fairly reasonably Besides, I understand your approach, i also got fed up and killed nathaniel. by the way, if we don't kill coroner then the game won't reveal his next victims only the thread will end.
