I love Synyster Gates, and I'm really bummed I missed this show, but that solo was actually horrible. I've never seen him play THAT sloppily before ever, really. I heard some rumors going around about him being sick through shows and what not, I wonder if he was okay during this? That man is my idol but that was a bad performance, I really hope something's not affecting him and it was just a bad night.

After watching again, I realize his guitar was incredibly out of tune, you can see him upclose tuning the floyd rose tuners at the bottom. That explains why he was out of time, too, because the runs sounded in-time but he had to constantly jump back and forth to tune the guitar. That's so annoying for him to have to deal with, props for keeping the show though.

He's specifically said in interviews that he wants to engage in the crowd. He said he would rather look at and engage the crowd and perform sloppily than do a perfect solo with his head down on his guitar the entire time looking lame
