the band toured from 2016 to 2018, with a new song for Black Ops 4 called Mad Hatter in 2018, and then in 2020 a remastered/rerelease of "Diamonds in the Rough" which was made from BSides and covers originally released in 2008, which was extended digitally with other bsides from over the years. overall, theyve been writing this album for 5 years - they never went on an actual hiatus of any kind, just took their time to make something new!

Covid also hindered them because they wanted to record a full orchestra, instead of piecemealing it and slapping the parts together.

correct, it's a real hi hat but it was recorded separately from the drum shell in order to give it that electronic feel, to make it sound like a sampled hi hat

I really dont know whats the point of starting the album, with a man ending hanging from the family tree, he do commint suicide, but again, im all in for experimental music, and i dont take it that serious that the album start with this, still its a weird choice.. but im in for it..
