When I hear the band talk about the older albums like City or Evil and Waking the Fallen, I get the sense that they have no desire to go back to that era. I totally understand the evolution musicians go through, but it is bittersweet. I’m excited for the future of Avenged Sevenfold but at the same time I want to keep hearing music that sounds like those older records.
@MultiBigAndy5 жыл бұрын
I honestly can't dig the most recent albumor even much of Hail to the King (except for like 2 songs).. Nightmare was really their last "good" one.

@Grandma to Oliver&Lila nah I'm only 21 and have been listening to them since I was 12, I love their older stuff so much. Also super nostalgic.
@christoffersjostrom45555 жыл бұрын
I don't know for me no A7X has had a sound that was reminiscent of a previous album. They always try new stuff while still being A7X. The only album that didn't feel A7X for me was Hail to the King as it was much more basic than their other creations and felt only like a tribute album to old metal bands. But it was still a new sound for them. But I can't argue against City of Evil being one of their best together with the self-titled album.
@BawlBag5 жыл бұрын
They can't.

@Grandma to Oliver&Lila You mean to tell me The Stage sounds like Hail to the King? HttK is straight-forward heavy metal and classical influence. The Stage is a musical masterpiece with all kinds of crazy different things from any album they've done.

Beast and the Harlot was the first song I ever heard and it was the song that got me into A7X back when I was in middle school. I'm glad they did a breakdown episode for it ^-^

One of the best albums!! I miss the creativity in the songs like this album featured. It seemed as if each song was its own album... so good!
