Shadows’ voice holds up (which is not likely, unfortunately), A7X will be playing shows well into their 60’s or 70’s like Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, etc… They’ll come out on stage, practically assisted by their tennis ball shoed walkers. Really these are some really really heavy comments putting the entire world of rock and roll down basically saying that no one has ever been this profound instrumentally and lyrically I mean one word tool two words Layne Staley I have not listened to this yet I've only heard the earlier stuff. But if you only lived your entire life and never had a song that makes you cry the first time that you have not listened to good music. I may send corrected I am a reactor and I'm looking for these comments because someone suggested this song and I don't like to read lyrics I don't like to do any digging on the meaning I like to look through the comments after all you all know best. The weather you really dig them or not it's impossible to say that tool is not read their self every album and that their lyrical content is not as deep as any man ever in the instrumentation is all the chain there is no scale for what tool is. Even every musician says that Maynard is a genius. But I'm not doubting this band because I've always loved them but I never say anybody is the absolute best ever because there are so many different styles of music so how can one band be absolutely the best ever. Now maybe personal preference yes man you guys act like there isn't any other music in the world. I may come back with my hat in my hands in my head down my tail tucked.

This album only gets better after each listen. I'm loving the direction Avenged went with this album and The Stage. They went away from the traditional rock genre that made them the money and now going into a more Pink Floyd/Dream Theater style where they have let their talents really excel.

I feel them letting out their inner prog love was inevitable. Matt and Syn are huge fans of Mr. Bungle. Matt and Syn are big fans of Dream Theater as well with John Petrucci being one of Syn's biggest influences and of course The Rev loved the shit out of Mike Portnoy so. It was only a matter of time.

@omgwillustrate8475 Жыл бұрын
This song feels like the perfect follow-up to many of the songs from the Nightmare album. Starting from So Far Away all the way to Save Me, I felt like I was going through many different phases of grieving over forever losing someone. So Far Away felt like attending a funeral and putting together a sort of facade to mask the hurt because you're trying to be grown up and mature about it, only for that facade to crumble to pieces in God Hates Us as you succumb to devastation. You're hurt, and you want the world to know you're hurt whether you want to admit it or not. In Victim, you haven't healed from the loss and you're begging for closure, maybe bargaining in your mind the people and things you'd trade away to somehow get back what you've lost. You might also be irritated and pissed at people trying to console you with talk about the Lord and His plan for you. In Tonight the World Dies, you're still trying to heal and it's taking months. You struggle to even have normal conversations with other people because sadness is the only thing in the front of your mind. Fiction deserves a mention because I refuse to let it go unmentioned, but it also feels like receiving a transmission from a loved one that traversed the astral plane to reach you that tries to put your mind at ease, but its intended effect is lost on you and instead, you demand better closure and more answers in Save Me. You think you've come to understand the entire picture of what it means to be on this planet, and it's grim as fuck. "We're only here to die." And then, finally, after a long period of time, you get a second reply that gives you more of that closure and even challenges your nihilistic outlook on life in the form of Cosmic. Yes, you can think we live only to choose how we die, but a part of us manages to live on in some other way whether it may be through our preserved legacy, through our progeny, through the people we've influenced in life, and even after death, or through means that transcends beyond our understanding of time and space and that the forces that might've brought us together in the first place might've happened many times before in other lives and may continue to happen again. Like Finn And Jake, for those who're fans of Adventure Time. That's my take on it anyways.
