I'll never understand how Syn plays so absolutely flawlessly, to be able to create the same tone pinch harmonic during a solo as the studio version a skill even masters of guitar find challenging, Syn is a fucking god
@god8483
@god8483 8 жыл бұрын
Zack Trollinski Pitch/pinch harmonics are pretty easy once you get used to playing them accurately, it's his use of the sustainiac and vibrato that gives it it's signature character that's quite hard to replicate.

Diamond Lu Dickwad He's not a dude who can "kinda play guitar," he is in fact an extremely good guitarist, amongst the best of this generation. Just because he isn't super innovative and special (which he actually is but whatever) with his instrument doesn't mean he's just "sorta" by any means.
@god8483
@god8483 8 жыл бұрын
Diamond Lu Dickwad Mate, I'm a classically trained jazz guitarist from Berkley School of Music and have played with and seen hundreds of other guitarists. He's very good, just because he's "popular" doesn't mean he isn't.

he's a very skilled guitarist, if you think otherwise you're fucking stupid, I've been practicing guitar for 6 years now and I've become pretty food, but no where near the level syn is at, I'm not saying he's the best guitarist in the world, I'm saying he's good either way you look at it, dude knows his instrument

Its not really a new style. If you listen to his playing from Sounding the Seventh Trumpet all the way to now, you can hear that its just a natural progression of his skills and style. He's always had a style that's sort of prog, meets 80's metal, meets blues. What Syn has been doing a lot of though since before Hail to the King, is studying jazz guitar, bluegrass, and classical guitar (even a bit of flamenco, if memory serves).A lot of people give him a lot of shit, but he's really one of the few true musicians out there in that he's never satisfied with his skills and he knows there's always more to learn.

Why do people keep complaining that Shadows' voice is gone, he can't sing anymore, etc etc?? To my ears, he's STILL slaying and his vocal skill is still one of the best. Yes it might be different from Waking The Fallen era if that's what you're comparing, but it's been more than a decade, so get over it. People change, so does physical stuff and vocal cords. PS: a7x is badass (as always).

Really cool lighting effects. Capitol Records did a good job working with A7X on this release party concert. Wish the guys could have moved around a bit. They did look a tad uncomfortable standing in one spot. However, they sounded wonderful. Syn's playing just transcends you to a higher place. He has so much soul & feeling to his playing. I could listen to him play for days on end. Zack has improved expediently over the years. Brooks appears to be a good fit. Dude is dead on accurate. JC is just a cool funny dude. Love the mohawk he's rocked for so long. Glad they seem to be taking him more seriously now. Matt has really cleaned up his annunciation. This band has come so far over the last 17 years. I love the guitar intro to The Stage. I'm gonna try and learn it. I've seen someone teach a lesson on it and he said it's a lot harder than it sounds. I believe it after watching the lesson. Syn does some weird untraditional tapping stuff. He's using different patterns, and different fingers then you normally would.

@@El_Bartto The beginning isn't very hard but the very end is. I didn't put enough time into it. I'm used to tapping EVH is my favorite guitar player and biggest influence so it's not a new concept to me. But that last run, Section 5 in the video i was learning from is tough. I'll post the link below. It's like a sweep but it's tapped and it's really fast. It's pretty hard though. I could do it if i put more time into it but i just kind of got bored and lost interest. I'll probably try again at some point. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqPPZKuMgMR0nqs

The only song that I enjoyed the screaming was Unholy confessions. I don't understand what people enjoy about screaming because you don't understand any of the lyrics and to me it sounds like a mess. Could someone please explain why you enjoy the screaming and why do people enjoy Waking The Fallen. But if you just want to abuse me instead of answering my question that's fine.
