One of the biggest issues with the ember is that you need to lead moving opponents in order to hit them, and if you are leating the target, the builtin weapon doesn't fire

I like the range of the avenger and the firing speed....don’t like a 10 second reload, leaves you vulnerable. I like the ember quick reload and splash around obstacles that it provides. I would choose the ember. My favorite option is redeemer, they are nasty. Cheers!

Plus, Avenger is great at dealing with tanks from a distance and because of its high dps, it is also great at close combat. For Ember, It is great with dealing shielded robots (Ancile & Physical) but alas, there is always Aegis and Absorber take the fun away. Overall, Avenger deals range based damage and that has its advantages at certain situations meanwhile Ember deals a constant damage at 350m and less. Ember is better to rely on when it comes to damage over certain distance but damage of Avenger is so high that it doesn't matter. I chose Avenger as the best weapon for the Ao Jun. Any thoughts?

I like the video and comparison, but don't like some of the comments. You imply it's shameful to use Last stand and Lock Down ammo with Avengers on AuJun. Once you get in to Champion S class game play it is almost standard practice to see bots built in the most deadly combination possible. I just think those comments give players transitioning into higher leagues, a false sense of what to expect. Higher league clan game play is knock down, drag out, push, pull, claw if you have to.. There is not much mercy on the battlefield. Great video however, and thank you for the comparison.

I don't think the avenger is good because it has such a long reload plus it bad t accurate at long range the ember on other hand can splash the enemy and if u have on the ao jun u can fly close to them and damage them then fly back plus three times flames the and ember can go through physical shields and ancile that true the avenge has to break the shield and physical shield and plus the range is good but the most of the bullet barely hit and long range the ember has more damage and 5 sec reload one man perpective

Avenger is really good You have like 60 k dps and more because of the flamer and is more accurate than ember because the bullets go way faster and cheaper to upgrade The reload is ok since you usually fly and retreat but that's your and my opinion

I'm not sure how people assume one would be using Calamity at 600m range. I'm constantly at around 200m with them and I enjoy the ability to trail enemy with the built-in flame without having to focus on where my weapons are firing. At times I can fire built-in weapon at one enemy and fire Calamity at other. Very powerful build when used right.

OK~~ From the damage statistics: The sustained damage of Avenger is only higher than Ember when within 150m range. If someone usually attack enemy at around 200m, ember is better. But if shot grouping and accelerated mode are added to Avenger, it has the highest sustained damage within 500m range. For my playing style, I will choose Avenger.

Avenger, you can break energy and physical shields for teammates, 500 m range with shot grouping and acceleration gives you probably the highest dps for 2 heavysets in the game

Why I love my Avengers on AJ? Very simple, fully loaded it can steam roll 2 to 3 Reds in a single run. There was once, I flew into 3 Reds hiding behind the hilltop in Castle map (staircase structure just at the edge of the gouge). Took them by surprise, all 3 got shredded including an Ares, LOL. They probably was confused whether it was a Red or Blue because I flew right right into them from behind and at ground level flight. And with the current meta of Damage Resistance bots, nothing beats having the Machine Guns....shoot like a RAMBO...LOL

1. I think you went into this video biased. Many videos on comparisons you do. I don’t personally think avenger is better, and I am certain that it is due for a nerf. So that’s really why I advise against avenger. Look at punishers, they don’t do anything now, and that’s the destiny for avenger. It won’t be until sales drop off that they will nerf avenger... 2. You are the only reason I took my last stand off my level 6 ares. I haven’t upgraded it past 6 because I haven’t needed to. Your right, it’s still op. My level 10 Leo barely survives while my ares thrives at a lower level than the Leo. I got a second last stand just a few days ago, and am running my last stands on Ember furry and Redeemer raijin. I know they aren’t meta, and that’s the entire point. I’m running three meta bots and two outdated bots and it’s working out okay for me. 3. As to ao jun, with Ember at a low level, and not having any avenger (they moved it to gold price and screwed me out of 7500 components thusly I never got one). But with Ember or avenger at a lower level, Ember does better. If you can mk2 12 everything you have, then maybe avenger might be better. I cannot max everything and in five years, I have maybe six weapons at mk2 11. It’s tough to be FTP and play for fun. Thusly, Ember does really well being a component item and having the highest theoretical DPM. 4, those people with exceptionally long purple shields, or exceptionally long quantum radar, are they using pilot skills or cheating? I have had a nemesis who I raised my nemesis shield after, and yet theirs was still running after mine ended. I really want to know if they are exploiting the game so I can report them if need be.

I have Avenger and Ember on my Au Jun. It’s best of both worlds. In the sky I have 500 m range, and Ember + built in Ember at 350 m when I fly in. On the ground I have Ember, usually my Avenger is reloading at that point. The Ember as you mentioned is great for corner shooting and keeps the reds from blitzing me on the ground like a sitting duck. I’m not a fan of mixing weapon ranges, but in this case it works really well.

Running the Ao Junwith 1 avenger and 1 ember is a very effective combination because you have a) the Advantage of Range, Shorter reload and Corner Shoot ability and b) because constant Fire for a long Time and when both weapons are empty it takes only 3-4 secconds till you can shoot again...try it out!

Me too actually, till i met with this combo. Ember gets empty in 1 flight and Avenger halves. In the 2nd flight both needs reloading, and in case you have enemies nearby Ember will continue doing damage with it’s shorter reload time. Just give it a try, i bet you’ll like it!

Ehhhm, no. The continuous damage of Avengers is higher than Ember. Much higher. It doesn't matter if you consider burst damage (10 seconds of fire) or continuous damage per second per cycle (shooting the weapon empty and reloading it). The only weapon which can beat the Avenger in terms of damage is the Glory in short range and only in burst fire.

Avenger is definitely better but i don’t have a single one and unless I win one I sure won’t waste my money or gold getting two of them. I do have two embers on my Ao Jun that I won so that’s what I use. Also I’ve never seen someone kill two people with an Avenger, I’ve done that multiple times with my Embers, anytime two people get close enough they both die. Probably could kill three but it’s yet to happen.(waiting for that day 🤩🥳)

I would take the Avenger version to be honest. But both Avenger and Ember have moment and certain situations when they can outperform each other, so ember is actually really good, but I still prefer Avenger (with Sharpshooter pilot skill)

I have used both setups and I can easily say that au jun with avengers is hands-down "THE BEST" setup because it is the only setup that can one clip kill the really tanky bots like invader and fenrir, no other setup can do that all the other traits like range and damage are another plus and as for the 10 second cooldown.... what I do is everytime i make a kill I fire empty the avengers and get ready for another kill .

Redeemer is just nuts on the Ao Jun, lol. I like redeemer best, but i don't have any Avengers and would like to know your thoughts 1 vs the other. I think avenger vs redeemer would have been the better comparison video, does not look like you compared those 2 in a video yet. If you have 2 Ao Juns, i'd say 1 of each is best to take advantage of both. Ao Jun with redeemer may become the #1 robot setup with shield breaker on it due to the immediate damage it delivers.

Imagine the damage increase effect with an avenger, each bullet deals more damage than usual okay now imagine an ember and the "bullets" we cant really see but its vast. Now with an ember and avenger would be interesting but the reload time sucks so ember and redeemer should be better than anything anyone has ever used on the au jun. Just gotta get used to the awkward aiming. Very possible.

I feel the reason some people use the Avengers over Embers or even Redeemers is the lower upgrade costs of Avengers. 26 mil silver to go from level 11 to level 12 is pretty cheap compared to Ember or Redeemer. Just my personal opinion on it. Part of the reason I use Avengers on my Ao Jun.

I like the embers, for ignoring shields and corner shooting. Plus, it takes some serious skill to hit a moving target from a flying platform with a slow moving flamethrower! Lol

Ao Jun doesnt need last-stand to be good -Manni What league r u in? Masters? If u want your Ao Jun to be optimal it needs last stand especially in champions league
