One of the many obvious things that irritate me about the movie and also the reviews, is that nobody considers how the stones could have been used separately as they were being acquired, not only to avoid dependence on the quantum realm, but also to use them during the battle. Can you imagine a non-degraded Hulk holding the power stone? Holy crap, 'Hulk smash' indeed....Better yet, they only really needed the time stone and a return trip to the garden planet to reassemble the original stones. They never even said what the soul stone even does. The marvel train reached the end of the line, and it's a spectacular wreck... It was all due to an incredible lack of Vision. ;)

@batfrog, Guardians of the Galaxy One already established that not many can even hold a single infinity stone and live to tell the tale. Quill is even called by his father, "The man who held an infinity stone and lived".
@batfrog1
@batfrog1 5 жыл бұрын
~Justin Stewart ~ Quill was presumed to be a normal man previous to that. Yeah, they're somewhat vague on the details. RedSkull held the tesseract and he was just the product of a super-soldier program like CaptainAmerica or Hulk. Anyone seems to be able to hold the soul stone so long as they make the sacrifice, JaneFoster was bonded to the reality-stone/ether, Hulk held the time stone in EndGame i think, and i'm sure Thor would have been able to manage wielding some of the stones, and actually used the tesseract to teleport back to their homeworld with Loki. Anyway, something could have been figured out especially with two geniouses like TonyStark and BruceBanner. TonyStarks triangular power device was supposed to be able to store or buffer the power of the infinity stones and hinted at it when he first met Thor, containing the energy from a blast of lightning from Thor's hammer, but i guess they lost sight of that detail for the final movie.

Very ridiculous film. Watched it only to wrap up years of these films and was very poor. From the scenes where all the women were standing together in the end battle to all the make-the-rules-as-you-go-along was very poor. Time travel was the easy ticket out of the ending of Infinity War, was done in Days of Future Past and they just repeated it. I do not understand all the great reviews so baffling. Just a reflection on the up and coming generation i guess. How sad.

The worst thing was Capt's old man ending didn't even make sense with the rules of time travel setup in the movie. There's no way he could be sitting on that bench at the end since him staying in the 1940s would have created an alternate timeline... or if he didn't create an alternate timeline, he would have completely altered the future that he left from. Either way it made no sense at all and was a completely stupid end of that character.

Who cares if Captain Marvel didn’t add anything to the story? The story wasn’t about her, it was about the original 6 Avengers. What they did to Thor was humanizing, he was grieving the loss of his family, his people, and half the planet. All that weight he was carrying manifested to real weight he started packing, and in the end learned to not let that emotional weight keep him down.

I agree. IW was one of the best superhero movies I've seen since TDK trilogy but Endgame just felt like another of the almost two dozen Marvel throwaway movies where you have to switch your brain off. IW had so much heart and drama, especially with Gamora. In Endgame Gamora gets replaced with a 9 year younger Gamora and she knees Quill in his nuts. And Thor gets de-masculined. This movie literally castrates the male superheroes in front of our eyes.

Count me as another who bid the MCU farewell with "EndGame." I got burned out on these films after Civil War in 2016, and since then, I've only watched Black Panther, Infinity War, and now EndGame. I needed closure with this movie to end this fun ride, but I didn't get the closure I needed. So, on one hand, I am very disappointed and frustrated with Marvel with their unfaithfulness to source material, throwing in gratuitous profanity (especially blasphemies) and their typically excessive-and very, very juvenile-humor that ruins otherwise meaningful scenes, turning major characters (i.e., Thor, Hulk, and Cap to a certain extent) into wisecracking clowns who merely function as comedy relief, forcing feminism/political correctness/"diversity" down everyone's throats just to pander to progressivists, etc. However, on the other hand, I also feel a sense of relief, because I know I can let go of this film genre now-and for good. A Marvel universe without Steve Rogers (Chris Evans)-who IS Captain America and who is absolutely irreplaceable-and Tony Stark (Robert Downy, Jr.)-who IS Iron Man and who is absolutely irreplaceable-has no appeal to me whatsoever. Needless to say, it's a very bittersweet and painful farewell because it's so hard to let go of these beloved characters after following their story arcs for 11 stinking years, but enduring loss and learning how to overcome that by the grace and strength of God is very true to life, isn't it? Yes, it sucks, but we still have to move forward. And isn't that sort of the message of EndGame? It's time for us to let go . . . in more ways than one.

But truthfully we all was getting burnt out with this superheros stuff. Infinity War redefined the greatest of MCU with it's storytelling and excellent use of so many main actors and superheros. It sold all that money because of its storytelling alone. Also Black Panther and Civil War making all the money it made for great storytelling added to Infinity War. Ragnarok was good too. But Ragnarok didn't make as much money as the others. Now in End Game, they just retired or killed off the main character that carried the Avengers. Generating a s*** lot of revenue is why they make these movies. The NEW faces of the Avengers have to start from scratch with the exception of the success of Black Panther. If they can continue to write great stories and have character development with Captain Marvel and spiderman solo Movies Dominating the theaters, they can make another successful Avengers movie with the new faces. However, you take out Tony Stark, Thor and Cap and nobody will care about the new Avengers. Unless Captain Marvel 2 and spiderman 2 dominates the box office in solo Movies. Something they DIDN'T do in their first outing! With the new faces, Avengers 4 will flop and that will be the END.

If you're going to do that, it must be planned out from the first movie, which in this case it obviously wasn't. Marvel got greedy or lazy here. It really pisses me off because I wanted nothing more but for this long successful series to close out strong and well written. But nope and just think, Thor was over powered in infinity war beating a Thanos equipped with the Gauntlet w/ all stones and End game a gauntletless Thanos defeats not one Thor, but Capt and Iron man? Wtf just happened here. Bad writing and poor direction. Sad day my friend.

Plus after the first Avengers, Tony had a vision of everyone dying fighting Thanos on his "space stage" that he had in the Infinity Gauntlet comic book. But in this movie, it is just a repeat-battle of the last one in Wakanda that was so absurd. It was a real disappointment for fans of the comic. And the whole issue of leaving out the real star of the story: *Mistress Death*

To be honest, Hemsworth's true calling is comedy. It may have been out of place in Endgame but he is naturally funny, maybe even funnier than Chris Pratt. Thor Lebowski seems to be an outgrowth of that, of Thor trying to assimilate into today's culture. If you decouple Hemsworth from the MCU he has a great future ahead in comedy like this.

While this was a good movie, it had problems. The complexity of Infinity War could easily have fuelled a solid and simpler story in Endgame. I feel EG deserved more. IMO: - the main story and character development were not great - there are plot holes throughout, and - it's as if viewers must abandon logic because the infinity stones (and Stark/Pym tech) mean that almost everything can be fixed - far too many unnecessary/unrelated sub-plots, and a lot of underused/ignored ideas.

There's nothing good about this movie. It's the same garbage Disney pulled with Star Wars. "Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to" might as well as been the slogan of the movie. This was an absolute, pointless destruction of the characters, as opposed to actually trying to be like the comics, and letting the characters continue on with their lives, as heroes, outside of the Avengers. When Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, etc had left the Avengers, in the comics, they were still Captain America, Iron Man and Thor, and doing Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor crap. This is just the same mistake the new Star Wars series has made, trying to force characters that you're not going to like down your throat, and force you to forget the ones you've become attached to, for over a decade. These Ultimates based characters were deeply flawed, to begin with; this just made everything irreparably worse.

Why is that Marvel has to depower characters in order to empower other characters? Why that strategy? I mean you can show Captain Marvels power and you can also show Hulk's power. Makes no sense. Hulk was completely neutered. In comics, Professor Hulk has battled Superman in a crossover showing his strength, has Banner's brilliant mind, and regenerates. None of those qualities were showcased in this movie. I understand MCU is not comics, but Hulk hardly made a contribution...at all. A segment of the fan base will be turned off, like myself, and I think Marvel has made a miscalculation. I agree, the movie has it's moments but I was very disappointed.

no - they weren't claiming that would happen - they were concerned that it would happen - not the same thing at all - and the fact is that the film showed that she almost did but the directors knew that a lot of the audience wouldn't like it so they pulled back - the Captain Marvel character provides nothing meaningful that other characters couldn't do - except that she is female and they want her to be the leader of the all female/black/gay future so they just shoe horn her in to foreshadow whats coming in future movies - there is simply no logic to her character at all - not even 2 dimensional never might 3 dimensional - and yes - the Hulk and Thor were trashed - I get it - the directors and the two actors probably sat around spitballing what they thought were fun ideas - but they had no real respect for the actual characters - or in Thors case the arc he had been on in the previous 5 movies - it was like those films never happened - and just don't start me on the crappy Professor Hulk - after all the set up in Infinity War they do that - just lazy - plus Professor hulk has only one purpose and that is to deliberately depower him - people with no actual creativity can't see anything in the Hulk character beyond him just turning and raging so they make things like Professor Hulk - but they are missing the point an so many opportunities by a mile - also- they said themselves that they wanted to depower him as they think having OP characters isn't good....and then they bring in OP Cap. Marvel - ok - so that makes sense - In infinity War they made a big song and dance about the Hulk not showing but then they just didn't do anything about that - so it is clear that they didn't really have a coherent plan - they were just doing things that they considered funny or cool of the top of their heads and then just moved on to the next 'cool/funny' thing - and then when later they had to resolve a lot of the issues created by the 'cool/funny' thing they just went for cheap fixes - it is clear that the only real over all plan (or instrruction from Disney) was to just get rid of or trash most of the white male characters to make way for the all female/black/gay future ones - with maybe the odd token straight white male as the butt of jokes or villain or something @@Stew91

I agree with a lot of what you said. I was disappointed with how they treated Thor in particular. It felt like he was just one big joke throughout the whole movie. There were also a lot of unanswered questions for me. Also felt the same way with what you said about how Cap passed the mantle to Falcon. They were good friends but it wasn't true to the arc with respect to Bucky. I don't agree with you about how Cap should of have hooked up with Sharon though, because in my opinion him being romantically involved with Peggy's niece just felt wrong and disrespectful considering she had just died when they got together in Civil War. All in all I enjoyed the movie but it wasn't the perfect wrap up I was hoping for and there are holes in some of the conclusions. I'm of the same opinion that I'm probably done with being a steadfast fan of Marvel movies because it's obvious to me too which road they plan to go down from here. Good video, I like your channel.

Aside from the obvious “clearing the way for SJWs” this film had such awful pacing issues and inconsistencies. There was no clear antagonist until the final act. They cut Thanos’s head off in the first 20 minutes. They were no longer fighting against him or his followers (also all dead) so there was nothing there to actually raise the stakes. So the pacing was slow and I found myself bored in an action adventure comic book film. Past Thanos is suddenly promoted to main antagonist for the final act cause otherwise Banner would have snapped his finger and the film would have ended.

I don't plan on watching anymore mcu films after this one, this left a bad taste in my mouth after watching it. So many plotholes, it feels rushed/incomplete at certain points, pacing is slow, and so much wasted potential. (Sorry if this isn't very coherent but I was just ranting at this point) They could've shortened the depression at the beginning and shortened the time travel sequence. Then made it a race between thanos and the avengers to get the infinity stones, and then made a big battle between thanos and the avengers both using the infinity stones they both acquired against each other with the avengers eventually retrieving all the infinity stones. Then after beating thanos, instead of killing him they talk to him and (somehow) convince him that what he's doing is not right. Then he joins the avengers and there would be an end credit scene introducing Galactus which thanos and the avengers would eventually fight. Also thanos was way more powerful than he should've been, he shouldn't have been able to stand up against captain marvel without the stones. And might I add that they changed thanos from being power hungry to calling it a 'temptation' back to power hungry? And not only that but the whole "I'll destroy the universe and create a new one and enjoy doing it" or whatever he said was very unnecessary and didn't even feel like thanos? It's like they took the idea of thanos trying to make a grateful universe and injecting steroids in it. And back to the time travel bit, there's continuity errors in there too! First they say time traveling into the past and messing it up won't do anything, then the lady (forgot her name) says that taking the stones will change the course of time and blah blah so much wrong with all of that. Ahhhhhg!!!!!!!!! This film just makes me angry

I agree about the Tony Stark character arc. That was good. But Thor was cringeworthy. If it wasn’t bad enough seeing Thor with a huge gut, drinking beer, and acting pathetic-they made it worse with the Big Lebowski reference. Now, I love that film, but when I saw the resemblance with Thor in his bath robe, I was groaning inside. To make it worse, they had to place him on a California beach at the end-the same one in the Big L-and I honestly almost expected ashes from a coffee can. WTF writers?! I also agree about the ending with the Falcon. Why does Bucky not get the shield? He deserves it! The poor man has been through such an ordeal. He has also been Cap’s best friend AND he has similar powers! I like the Falcon as the Falcon. But his powers come from his suit! Is he going to fly in a repainted Falcon suit and carry the shield? Now on the subject of feminism: this movie seemed actually anti-female! Capt Marvel, for all the hoopla, did next to nothing! Instead; the women HEROES that have been there all along got very short shrift! Black Widow’s end was not only undeserved and unsatisfying, she also has NO memorial! Tony gets a big funeral and she gets zilch! Seriously? And Scarlet Witch, whose reality-bending power could probably have won the day easily, instead gets batted around and nearly killed by Thanos. WTF writers? Way to stand up up for women heroes! Oh but you can insert a single line where a bunch of women tell Spider-Man, “we got this.” (And proceed not to.) That’s phoning it in with a throwaway, token line. Sorry, but this one was decidedly meh. Not their best effort, and yet it’s the end for this group. That’s kind of sad.

People that claim to be Marvel fans should be able to understand that they should feel equally for each character and when they see one of those characters being disrespected to anywhere near as much as Thor was, they should feel that the whole team got disrespected. I do hate when Hollywood pushes their liberal ideas on feminism and gay rights and equality and all that junk. The people the audience the fans deserved just the ending of the Marvel series and all of the characters in highly respected dignified roles at their best. With a great win and maybe a huge sacrifice preferably if Captain Marvel especially since she most likely could have easily snap your fingers and still survived because she is made out of energy so the radiation would not have bothered her.

Second biggest plothole - The whole time travel/infinite realities cheapened everything as well. That time machine/reality hopping device they made? It's a zillion times more powerful than any damned infinity stones. With that machine you can essentially duplicate any person or artifact. They could have gotten another Hank Pym and a few Tony Starks and then controlled time and space and realities... etc. Also... they can reverse aging with it? WTF. They threw that in as a gag but... uh.... kind of a significant thing, no? It was like they were shooting plotholes into their own movie with a cannon. In fact... when Thanos found out about the time machine... he probably would've focused on getting that tech as opposed to the infinity guantlet. And... I could go on and on about the time machine... but the movie would've been MUCH better without it.

@@alecperdeau650 I'm not denying the social justice at RT (I even acknowledged a little bit of it being in RWBY in reference to the couple, although I didn't mention them, admittedly), but I still don't see the problem. Bumblebee didn't become canon, we just had a 2 v. 1 of them against Adam (something that has been built of ever since Volume 3 at the earliest). I can only remember three Grimm fights (the first one on the train, the Apathy, and the Leviathan), and the last 2 had a bit of justification for stillness. Were people asking for Jaune to attack Oscar?

I agree wholeheartedly. It seems to me that die hard fans believe this to be the greatest movie they have every seen. A good friend of mine said and I quote "I can't even fathom how I live in a time where this movie exists and I can watch it" ... I think he honestly meant those words... and he refuses to accept any criticism of the story telling. Everything gets "theorized" a way. It's like some are choosing to ignore the bad aspects of the writing just so they can love the movie. Sorry for the long response... lol but i agree

@@GameCat16 yeah, they did want to see Jaune step up and get angry at Oscar since he's essentially Ozpin and got Pyrrha killed. Supposedly its meant to show development but all it does is take the attention away from Ruby more and prove how terrible a protagonist she is

The things that made the MCU are capts selflessness and leadership, Tony’s ingenuity, Thor’s God power, hulks might and struggle, and black widows nice ass in the uniform. All of these were killed in this movie. It’s over

Can we talk about the fact that half the world is brought from 2018 and the other half is living in 2023? The logistics alone is going to be a nightmare to tackle in future movies. This is why they should've reversed time not the snap.

Endgame is overrated af. Hulk's entire arc concludes off screen. He was less professor Hulk, and more like Green Banner. Professor Hulk had a mean streak and wasn't simply Green-skinned Bruce Banner. Thor had zero pay off. He just went through this same depressed arc in Infinity War. But lets do it again, but this time with zero pay off and played 90% for laughs. The power levels were laughably inconsistent. Thor with Stormbreaker all but kills 6 stone Thanos but Thor with Stormbreaker AND Mjolnir is completely ineffective vs zero stone Thanos. Ok. Plot holes galore, like cap showing up at the end when he clearly shouldnt based on the rules established earlier in the film. Thanos bringing his ship/army to the future despite having zero pym particles as nebula only had enough for herself and she had already gone through. Captain Marvel should have been shelved in this film, and her moments given to Hulk or Thor. She shows up to be stupidly overpowered for a few minutes and contribute zero character development but the same wooden delivery of her lines from her crappy movie. Bucky should have gotten the shield. I like Falcon but why does a guy with normal human strength who can fly and uses machine guns need a shield? Bucky makes much more sense as he has been Steve's best friend longer than Sam has, and his powerset is much closer to cap's than Sam. Nebula sent Widow and Hawkeye to die. Lol. She knew one of them wasn't coming back but said nothing. Not really an error, just funny.

Bad storytelling? who is this degenerate? Yeah...sure marvel the first company that successfully combined over 20 movies in a Cinematic Universe, and is set to be the highest grossing movie ever is the worst thing ever.

Currently the Black Widow movie is a thing. The only sort of conflict I see is that at the end of Endgame, Steve Rogers has to return all of the stones so that IW still happens (as Endgame claims the grandfather time paradox does not fit in this story). That means returning the Soul stone to release Black Widow so Thanos still sacrifices Gamora. How Black Widow gets back to Earth -- no idea. Maybe Cap brings her back before he returns to Peggy. We won't know until we find out what the BW movie will be.

Endgame had the perfect setup. In Infinity War they fought Thanos for the stones. Now they had to fight to get them back, except it would be harder because he has all the stones. But instead of cool epic action sequences we got...talking....talking and more......talking. I wish someone took a picture of my face when I realized the whole movie was going to be like that.
