This movie was just perfect. Tony final words "I am Iron Man" were just fantastic and Cap lifting Thor's hammer was just epic. Black Widow's arc and sacrifice was also pretty emotionally impactful. Hawkeye and Nebula were vastly improved. Though I would say that Thor wasn't as good as he was in Ragnarok and Infinity War. I just wish they kept that Fat Thor joke for the beginning and that it wouldn't last for the rest of the movie. Thanos is still pretty great, though I would say his change of plans and decimating the whole universe felt a bit hasty. I really love that ending however, when Cap hands over his mantle to Sam and finally has that dance with Peggy that he always wanted. Overall this was an enjoyable and emotionally impactful conclusion that was just perfect. Damn, I do miss Tony, Natasha and Steve, though. 10/10

Omfg... the ending was the most insane thing the movie world has ever seen. When I saw the strange portals, I instantly thought of the one possibility out of 14 million from IF. And lastly, when tony took the stones from Thanos, i flipped shit in the theater. That was the greatest and most heartbreaking moment by far in the MCU. Insane movie, amazing work from the Russos, unbelievable. Lost for words...

I tried not to be biased when I watched this film, because I do have a strong emotional attachment to this franchise, and I desperately wanted this film to be Marvel's best yet. But I really think that this is my favorite superhero film, favorite film of 2019, and probably one of my Top 3 favorite films of all time. The film felt a lot different film than Infinity War, but in a good way. Rather than focusing on a fast pace and non-stop action, we get a slow plot that shows us the effects of the Decimation, both on the world and on the characters in it. There's a sense of loss and dread that I've never felt in a major blockbuster like this before. But not all characters feel this loss, because they've moved on and improved their life. It is possible that you might not like this film as much as Infinity War though, especially if you loved Infinity War for the qualities that Endgame is missing. All of the characters and acting were great in this one. Evans, Downey Jr, and ScarJo give powerful final performances as Iron Man, Cap, and Widow. Hawkeye was the best he's ever been in this film, and Renner sells it. Nebula might be my favorite character in this film, playing her past and present selves very well. Thor and Hulk were great too: I loved the changes made to the these characters, since they added greatly to the humor of the film but also felt like natural progressions for those characters. I'm very exited to see them in future films. Captain Marvel was perfect in this film, showing up in a few moments to flex her power, but not being an ex-machina for the whole film or single-handedly defeating Thanos. Speaking of which, Thanos is less prominent and developed in this film, but I still loved that his nobility and grey (though much darker) motivations remained intact, while at the same time, he still got to be a huge badass, fighting all of the big 3 and Carol without any of the stones. The plot is Marvel's best yet, in my opinion. I loved it, despite the fact that it gets a little messy. Yes, Time Travel is the answer, but they find a great way to explain it. Changes made in the past don't change your future, but their do create branching timelines. So when 2014 Thanos travels into the future, that's a timeline where Infinity War happened. Loki's show will most likely take place after alternate universe 2012 Loki uses the Tesseract to escape, since he still very dead in the main timeline. Oh yeah, and the fact that the pre-snap deaths in Infinity War weren't undone was something I was happy, and surprised, to see. Getting to revisit those old films (yes, even Thor The Dark World) was super satisfying, since we get to see alternate takes on scenes in those films that shed light on other things that happened in this film. And we got both some hilarious moments (like all the Thor stuff, 'America's Ass", and "Heil Hydra"), and some very heartfelt moments as well (like Steve seeing Peggy and Tony meeting his dad). And of course, the Widow and Hawkeye scene on Vormir was done so well, when they fight each other to sacrifice themselves to get the stone, and Black Widow ends up making the ultimate sacrifice. The finale, holy frigging hell! BEST. ACTION. SEQUENCE. EVER! So many incredible standout moments! The entire Big 3 vs Thanos battle was great. Then I lost my mind when Cap wielded Mjolnir. The I lost my mind even more when all of the Avengers who died came back through Dr. Strange portals and a massive battle between every friendly army and all of Thanos' minions occurred. For once, a final CGI battle that didn't fall flat for me. Only The Avengers and Civil War could claim that honor before now. Spider-Man activates Instant-Kill! Wanda shows her true power, finally, and almost rips Thanos in two! Captain Marvel rips through Thanos' ship. Thanos takes the power stone out of the gauntlet and blasts Captain Marvel with it. I could go on, but it all leads up to the perfect sacrifice for Tony, who wields the gauntlet for a brief moments to snap Thanos and his whole army out of existence. As Thanos nobly waits for his death, we see Tony's body, mauled by the stones. And then he dies. The perfect sendoff. Lastly, I loved Cap's end. I said before this film released that I hoped Cap would live, but go to the past to live out his life with Peggy. Then he could come back as an old man and pass the shield on to Bucky or Falcon. And that's exactly what he did. The only negatives I can say about this film are that there wasn't really a clear standout character for me in this film, like Loki in The Avengers, Vision in Age of Ultron, and Thanos in Infinity War. The good news is everyone was so good that it almost didn't matter. Also, the movie is a little too slow at the beginning. I agree that some scenes probably could have been cut or shortened. The film is also very light on action in the first two-thirds of the film, which bothered me for a while, before that epic third act finale more than made up for it. And, this is a minor nitpick, but I wish Stan Lee's final cameo was a bit more obvious. I missed it when I first saw the film, and I don;t think I was the only one. That, plus the lack of Captain Marvel's tribute at the opening, stung. This is about as close to perfect as any Marvel film will ever get for a very long time, maybe as perfect as any film will every get for me for a very long time. It was the perfect finale, packing an emotional punch, a boatload of laughs, and heart to spare. It was an experience to see this one with an opening night crowd, loud cheers and all, one that may never be replicated for me again. I loved it more than even Infinity War, and that's the highest praise I can think to give any film.

I bought Thor. Thor made sense. People deal with grief in different ways, and for Thor, it was alcohol. I dont think it was overdone as much as you say. That last hour, Thor is a total badass (wielding both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker... are you freaking kidding me!!!!!). And his hair after he powers up with both weapons. Just dope. Just dope. During the first two hours though, we dont see a whole lot of Thor. Besides the recruitment scene, and preparing for the time heist, he isn't in the movie that much. So to me, it made sense. Thor would blame himself. He wasn't able to save the universe, even with Stormbreaker, and even though he "went for the head."

Zay Ray i actually think it kind of destroyed his character arc. Because his whole arc was about being a man out of time and actually finding a home and a family in the future and he did that with the avengers and sam and bucky and sharon. And also peggy herself told him to move on and she also did move on because she had a husband and a family as well. I obviously know everyone is gonna have different opinions on it but i personally just didn‘t like it.

David Savage maybe but given that in the eyes of Marvel the movie WAS a success they would logically have put her more in there. It was simply because not only did they not have her personality figured out but she’s so powerful that they had to work their way around that too. Hence why she was barely in it.

@thealjohnsonshow21885 жыл бұрын
+Megan Stagles Oddly enough, Endgame is the first time I've seen Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. Straight up. I never saw the solo Captain Marvel movie beforehand. I don't know how she'll be acting-wise and personality-wise to me when I eventually see that movie, but (imo) I am in the minority of someone who loved Brie's portrayal of Carol Danvers in Endgame. She definitely stood out to me as someone who wanted to get the job done no matter what. I understand the hate for Brie Larson & Captain Marvel, but I loved it and I loved her in the movie. I predicted early on, before the movie came out, that she would be given the same treatment Spider-Man got in Civil War. What I mean is, like Spidey, Captain Marvel (who is a new character in the MCU) got mostly 15 minutes of screentime in the movie. To me, seeing her in Endgame not only made me intrigued to FINALLY see the solo movie and wanna see her in Endgame again, but I'm very much interested in seeing Captain Marvel 2 in the future.
