Emily, I can totally understand you. I was an avid Marvel Comics reader back in the 70's and 80's, so this whole universe and its characters are very familiar and dear to me. Back then we always thought it would be amazing to have films made of the Marvel universe, but the special effects were a big no no. Now it's like a dream come true. I am 50 and I feel like a child again. Have seen all the movies and will be in the theaters every time a new one comes out. Cheers from Brazil.

The „you“ from Thanos is not meant for Ironman, it’s to all of them... I’m German so I watched it in German too and there it’s more exact because the “you” in English means both sing. and plur. but in german there are different words for this so I can tell you that it is meant in plural!

it is the first Avenger movie that i'm legit "excited about" because there's finally villlian that is neither weak(ultron) nor half-assed like (loki) others. having certain "comedy" and "interaction between characters" are cool but not an end goal.. i want certain level of "thrill" when watching this movies, not one man armies sweep through army of meaningless bad guys, i had enough of movies that is appealing to teenagers and design to make a huge cash grab..

Thor getting his skull squeezed I'm sure is at the beginning of the movie... picking up from the end of Ragnarok. I think Hulk will intervene saving Thor but Thanos swats Hulk easily and sends him flying back to earth. The guardians arrive from the wreckage and find Thor and half the team goes to earth to warn them and the other half goes with Thor to forge his new weapon. That's as far as I've gotten with what I think the plot will be.

Emily--May I ask you a question? I'm 50 YO and have collected comics for decades, but just ten or fifteen years ago, girls really didn't collect comics. You almost never saw women in comic book stores unless they were girlfriends of guys who were getting comics. Now it seems like women are as into these characters as the guys. When I see a Marvel movie, there is also pretty much a 50/50 split in terms of men and women. So my question is: what changed? Did the movies draw women in? I'm just curious.

HI! Thanks for the comment! First, the demographic for genders attending the marvel movies is in fact about a 50/50 split, as all movies aim to be. However, there are still more men buying comics (about a 63-37 ratio). I think the increase in female interest has to do with a couple of things. The first is the movies, which is how I got into this whole world. I saw characters I loved on film and now I like to know more about them. Another contributing factor is that with strong, likable, and relatable female characters being portrayed not just in the comics, but (more notably) on the big screen, women find it easer to read a story they can connect to. Yes, there have been female characters in the comics going far, far back, but now they are more mainstream. I'm sure there may be other contributing factors, as everyone's situation is different, but those two reasons were big for me. Getting to see someone so much like me on screen with Wonder Woman was huge, and seeing Black Widow was also a big one. The more mainstream comic book adaptations get with the films, tv shows, etc., the more of a crowd it draws in. This includes roping in more of the female demographic. Hope that helped!
