Amen. A form of Godliness but denying the power there of. The blood of Jesus is powerful but only if we allow the Holy Ghost to clean house. We can't want to be ourselves and call that Christianity.

What does your statement mean (I want to be what GOD created me to be and not what I made myself to be)?
@RelaxationEnsembles
@RelaxationEnsembles 5 ай бұрын
@@MrPetersonG Speaking for myself, because I can completely relate to @charleneshanks9328’s comment. For so long I lived my life in a closed minded view of making decisions and seeing myself in my own perspective, my own view and using my own wisdom. As I renewed my relationship with God and grew closer to Him , I began to desire his wisdom, his guidance, his love to make my life decisions and moving forward in life as he created me to be such as confident, abundant, selfless, loving, business owner, etc. In short, what the statement means to me is to live as God sees you , and not how we limit ourselves .

It's impossible to make a commitment to God if you don't know him. Most people that quote Holy Matrimony vows does not live a Holy life or Christian life. My point is she said: Who said I wanted to be a first lady. Then DON'T marry a pastor. Be Blessed 🙏

What Aventer showed was how she isn't a Christian at all! Christians immulate Jesus Christ, I certainly didn't see or hear anything that came close to a woman of God! She's a perfect example of how her father, the devil, has infiltrated the church, and his children are running rampant around deceiving many!

I remember when Pastor Gray said deal with you in private or God will deal in public. I have allowed God to expose so much of me to me and we delt and healed from it. The freedom from your past and people pleasing is amazing! Lean into God's process because the other side is worth it! Proud of you both!

I learned that First Lady Gray is not the woman I thought she was...on the outside looking in we have so many judgemental thoughts on ppl who we "think" have such good lives and have so much "more" than we do. She is a black woman trying to raise children and keep a household, marriage and church going ALL with the help of GOD. We are not so different, except she's younger than me and I am divorced, but I am also taking care of a child in college. We as women need to seek forgiveness from GOD and lift each other up more than we do presently. Great interview and I pray GOD's blessing over her and her family.

I don't see her as blaming as much as taking responsibility for her part. I had to do that as well. My ex asked me to apologize to him and I couldn't figure out why. I thought about it for a minute and said I apologize to him for being with him in the first place! The truth is if I was in a better place with God, I would have never been with him in the first place.

She is too modest to say it, as as she said “she is a First Lady”, you did not have to comment. Time and place for everything. Her husband chose her, God and the church chose him, so, she is a First Lady. Read the Bible as Christ spoke about earthly leaders… As a ChristIan I am begging God for grace for people like you who need to reign on other parade. She should be a prayer warrior and able to edify her husband, encourage her husband because being a real man of God is a calling and not a job. I was a member of Lakewood Church during living and working in Houston and served in prayer ministry and always appreciated her quiet grace. She's also a fierce Momma Bear and her children are delightful. People think they know but they see the outside. She is a real woman who loves God and is married to a public figure. She is super talented and so is Pastor John (the man can sang AND preach). People need to just leave these people alone and pray for them! Stop worshiping folks... worship CHRIST.

The Bible teaches of forgiveness no matter how many times you have been betrayed and you have to decide within yourself if the pain of the betrayal is worth staying or going. I endured a horrible marriage and forgave and forgave him for his child hood trauma and only when my husband decided to get physically abusive I knew that it was not worth my life and I walked away. So if she wants to work on her marriage however public- it’s not for us to judge 🤷🏾‍♀️

Is that YOUR WORD or God's Word? That's why people have to be careful about exchanging vows and what they mean and above everything else staying in God's word.

I WISH I COULD HUG YOU!!!! I was literally thinking these exact thought!!!!!! Now I see where the "water downess" crept into the church. The entry point started with the leaders. This is the same spirit the guy Keion Henderson's wife operates in. We supposed to be dying to ourselves daily, Paul writes. Some of these leaders have not "spiritually died" to their selves. Basic, they're very carnal. 🤦🏾

This interview was so helpful for me. For years I’ve run myself ragged just to help/ support others and when I needed someone, they didn’t check on me… in fact, when I did receive a call it quickly turned into an ask of me. But God! Thank you for interviewing Av. I am encouraged!

Anyone who is on a huge platform is exposed to criticism and other forms of commentary that is give whether or not they’re asked for. However, GOD anoints those he called. Thats why marriage and choosing the right mate is sooo important. Too many times we get caught up in the trend of “being real”. While important, what does scripture say? This is the disconnect too many in the body of Christ have. “GOD you know I’m loud.” Scripture states to put on a meek and humble spirit. “GOD you know I don’t bite my tongue”. A wise woman is slow to speak. Again, we get caught up in the trend of being “real” that scripture and it outlines become secondary and that’s why many have problems. Don’t shoot the messenger. I have no problem with Mrs Gray. It’s just too often we see prominent men and women of GOD to focus on their flash and not following scripture where there is safety.

@@lolathompson8858 You’re what’s wrong with the Body of Christ on many levels. 1-No accountability. Relationally, Spiritually. 2- You use the Bible as optional as use your feelings as a guide. Your response was pure emotional with no correlation to ANYTHING I said. 3- Reject wise counsel. I used scripture, not opinion or emotions. 4- Lack Biblical knowledge. You refuse your learn and apply scripture and principle. 5- Silly women. I acknowledge public scrutiny and how we should follow Bible. Then stated I had no problem with Mrs Gray. 7- Foolish in old age. When do stop complaining at your big age and assess yourself to scripture. 8- In all thine ways get an understanding. You had a temper tantrum instead of comprehending what I said. 9- False Humility. You’re dangerous because you state lies as if it was my assessment in a fake attempt to defend something YOU said. Never put Mrs Gray ANYWHERE. You did. 10. Your inability to correct in love will send plenty to hell. Again, I pointed to scripture. You made an emotional rant like someone is out to get the lady. When in fact this was guidance on how to be better. 11. Kick rocks and get a life.

Please understand that I’m not trying to hit on you because I’m 70 years old, old enough to be your grandmother. However, I’m still young enough to appreciate the beauty that the Lord creates.

This was my first time listening. It was so awesome to hear her say the relationship she wanted with God was more important than the relationship with her husband. That’s been my struggle lately. I want that so badly. Also it’s okay of letting go people who don’t need to be around anymore and losing this crazy weight I’ve gained. I’ve too been going through many health issues and thyroid’s is my biggest one. This was great!!
