Aventon A100 motor noise?

Just a quick look at the Aventon A100 motor removed from the Ramblas. I’ve been getting some messages asking about motor noise/rattle. We have 400 miles on our Ramblas which is pretty much all off-road miles and have had no problems.

Aventon is sending me a new motor to be installed by my local dealer. So apparently the rattle/noises are abnormal. Very pleased with their service!

This is what is keeping me from buying it. I wish it wasn't. I will accept a coil fork and no engine rattle. The rattle, though not harmful is annoying on the trail. You listen for it, hear it, and get buyer's remorse.

Could you please make a quick video showing us how to remove the motor on the Ramblas? I’m pretty sure it could be very useful to many Ramblas owners.

Mine rattles like an $89 Walmart special. Not happy considering what I paid for this bike. I hope Aventon makes it right. This ie exactly the rattle I'm getting, thanks for the video. It's questionable whether the rattle will affect longevity and reliability, but it doesn't make a good impression for Aventon when you're at the local trails and you pass other bikers and it sounds like it's going to rattle itself apart within a month or two.

I understand your concern. That being said we have over 400 miles on our bike and have ridden it on Utahs roughest trails and we haven’t had any issues. Interested to see if any changes are made to the A100 motor in the future.

Thanks for the info. What is the mounting system for the cranks? It looks a lot like ISIS. I might want to upgrade my crankset at some point.

Just got back from my 2nd ride on the trails. I have the rattle on mine, bug it doesn't bother me. What does bother me is now when i lean the bike from side to side, I can hear what sounds like a rock or something rolling back and forth. Any idea on that?

At $3k+ with tax, I'm not seeing this bike as a good value. You can get full suspension mid drive emtb for another $500, particularly if you get a leftover 2022/23 model.
