I have taken that bike in places you couldn't even walk: swamps, creeks, tall grass, mud, hills, it's literally done everything I have thrown at it. The fat tires and motor combination are insane. The only thing I'm planning on doing is upgrading the front four to air shock

Excellent review but I believe the bike has a torque, not a cadence, sensor

Yes, it’s definitely a torque sensor

Great and very ery honest review. It’s a very capable bike and I really enjoy mine. I see so many people hate on e-bikes for so many reasons. If it wasn’t for e-bikes, I couldn’t enjoy riding because of my physical condition. I know people are gonna hate but it’s sometimes overwhelming for the hate turned toward people riding e-bikes.

Ebikes are starting to outnumber pedal bikes on the multi-use where I ride. Just in the last 5 years they have grown a lot.

Hi, just turned 65 and recent open heart surgery guy. I got one of these for kind of rehab and reward. I only use on roads both paved and dirt. Not remotely interested in what you ride. Have to say I'm very pleased with build and value. I think they have it right, real MTB peeps will spend way more for gear that can perform. Nice review !

Just got mine and have one day of commuting on it so far. I would normally ride my road bike or my FS mountain bike (both non-e) but I don't want to get to the office all sweaty (with no shower in the office) plus need to change out of my riding clothes and shoes. This is going to work perfectly. I installed a front rack, rear bag and my phone holder tonight. Looking forward to the commute this week! Sounds like I made a great choice. I typically ride about 1,500 non electric miles per year. It will be fun to see my total e-bike and non e-bike miles in 2025.

Great review! I put 1,200 miles on my Aventon Adventure and love it. While most of my riding has been on dirt roads and pavement, I have enjoyed it on some light mountain bike trails, and it rode very well. I now trust the brand, and I just saw that Aventon has made an entry-level EMTB named the Ramblas for $2,800 (very inexpensive for a starter EMTB0. There are several reviews online.

I have an Aventure2. I'm no mountain biker (too old) but I do enjoy being able to ride just about anywhere I want to go. Probably more than I should. lol And the thing has been trouble free for 2100 miles since last summer.

It is a very nice bike

Aventon's Mountain bike is the Ramblas ( which is overpriced IMHO). No one thinks the Aventure is a real mountain bike. It's a fat tire ebikes with mild off road capabilities.

I’ve had mine for a year. It’s a very versatile all around bike on pavement, gravel and trails. Not a mountain bike it’s too heavy. The only thing that could be improved is the front fork.

I have two .... One without the fenders and rear rack larger frame and one with every accessories possible for longer more touring rides. Ive had my specialized hardtail all my life and as I got older (40ish) and a few fked up disc in my spine and not looking to make jumps that i used to, this bike is perfect. Love it and havent taken my old MTB out in a while !

I'm questioning your mountain biking "cred." Your seat is way too low and you're not wearing a helmet. Can you explain this? We just bought 2 of these bikes. They should be delivered tomorrow. I have 3 Konas in my stable now with my favorite being my Operator. We bought these bikes so my wife and I can ride together. I'm not planning on taking it to Whistler... that's what the Operator is for😉

Absolutely 💯 % truth! AA2 is a wonderful light duty trail bike. It is NOT, a true MTB bike. Torque sensor makes this Machine a cut above the bullshit cadence sensor equipped bike-mimicking scooters.
