Aventon makes a variety of great e-bikes, however the Aventon Soltera is my favorite model.

🎯 Got the black one as well, w/fenders and racks. Using it primarily for commuting (16 miles/day). The lights are a large drain on the battery: first 8 miles during the day (using Assist 5, speeds 6 and 7), 100% - 91%. Second 8 at night, 91% - 34%. Btw, I'm guessing Aventon can switch the app top speed setting (32 mph) at will (giving you about 25 mph). I'd actually be willing to pay a fee for a Pro version of the app that does this...

@@Lancebowski Nice, how are the fenders working out for you? I was about to order them last winter, but I heard mixed reviews, so I held off. Some people complained that the fenders were rubbing on the tires. I’d also be interested to know how you like the rack, I think that would come in hand while commuting too.

Are the tires holding up well on gravel, then? Did you end up needing to swap them out? And, it’s been a year since you made this video-how’s the bike holding up now?

@@bhargobkakoty9204 The tires held up, and I never had to replace them. The bike held up great too, however I upgraded to the Soltera 2 this spring. I have a bunch of videos on my channel of that one too. It’s still my favorite all around bike 😎

@@stkyfngez Oh, that’s great to hear that the tires held up without any issues! I’m actually eyeing the Soltera 2 right now. The addition of the torque sensor is a big draw for me-it seems to offer a more natural riding experience compared to cadence. I’ll definitely check out your videos on the Soltera 2. Thanks for the heads-up!

Disappointed to hear you can't change top speed. I am asking around about this since I have one on order. On another video (for the Pace i think) someone showed that you can change top speeds for each PAS (?)... and it didn't look like it was in the same area of the app that you showed (maybe). That would be fine for my needs (i.e. to change just the level 5 to top out higher). Do you see any options when you go into the different PAS levels somewhere???

I hear you man, it’s still a sick bike, I wound have any regrets about ordering it. I will mess around with the settings tomorrow. I’ve been on the pace, and all the other Aventon models. I just don’t love the look of any of the other Aventon models as much as the Soltera.

@@stkyfngez hi again…. I actually found the video where I saw that and it wasn’t a setting in the app but it was a setting that the guy arrived at through the switches or something. Exactly, that’s what I try to explain to people who haven’t been on an e-bike. They always assume e-bikes are for lazy people 🙄

Yeah, so think so. They’ve made second gens of other popular models, so I would be they’re working on a sequel. I’ll definitely report back if I find anything out.

They just released a 2nd gen Soltera! It’s looks great, but unfortunately they did not increase the speed 😢 I hope to get my hands on it soon tho 👍
