Great engine choices. Friend built a single seat Aventura via Alex and just loves the plane. If amphibian is your dream, Aventura is the way to go. Alex is really taking the company forward. Great to see. Congratulations to Alex and Aventura.

Thanks for a cool video , was wondering how it all went together technically , its amazing how important it is to try and make everything as light as possible yet still be good enough to do the job , they pulled off a great affordable aircraft by not overbuilding. If you get a chance would love to see how the wings are made and attachment points for the wings. Fair play to Alex for driving the company forward , and being a contact for supply of spare parts.

Nice to see this man making a go of it and provide an answer to the Icon A5, which I feel is entirely over-priced. Great look and solid build quality. Hope things go well. How has this lock-down affected the flight industry, as it has, per force, affected everyone and everything?

Quit using the term breaking in. The run time before using full power for an extended time is called mating moving parts. This is to smooth machining roughness from newly made parts. Such as setting rings in the bore and bearings.

So what's the cost on the cheapest 1
@ExperimentalAircraftChannel5 жыл бұрын
Carl Schmiedeke Sorry for the delayed response... have been at Sun-N-Fun all week. I believe the Aventura UL (Ultralight) is around $25k (for EVERYTHING) and the Aventura II Experimental 2-seater KIT start at a base of $38k. Links to the website can be found in the body of the details for this video and you can reach out directly and privately for more information. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch! BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a kit from the prior owners of Aero Adventure in 2005. I almost returned it, but then received assurances from the owner that the problems would be resolved. They were not. Missing parts, wrong parts, incorrectly made parts, lack of documentation, incorrect documentation…you name it. It was impossible to build. I’d start, get about 15 minutes in, then find out I had incorrect length bolts, missing aluminum, or conflicting manual information. Then I’d have to document it, wait for a response from the factory, fight about getting what I needed, wait for the part, then start again. It was so frustrating we’d just give up for a few months, then take it up again. Here I am in 2024 with 200 hours into the build and its about half done. The control surfaces are ready for clear coat and the fiberglass work is yet to be done. Instrument panel and so on. What I learned was that very few, if any, of these kits were ever built by the “owner/builder”. All were built by shops with experience and spare parts where the owner supposedly participated. A few admitted to me that they never did.. We’ve decided to either finish the kit or dump it this year so I tried to contact Alex at Aero Adventure to see if a current version of the manual was available. l cannot get a response to email or voice mail. I had a friend contact them offering to pay for a manual to evaluate a purchase. They never responded to him either. I called the airport to see if anyone there knew these guys or if they were still in business. They are seen “occasionally”. Its sad cause this is a nice aircraft. I’ve flown one. Its a nice design that should be what it is advertised as, a 200hr build. But it has never lived up to its potential and now it appears may not even be in business any longer. Too bad. At least I can sell the Rotax…

Roy Boy soon In this type aircraft, and the testing they have done, they concluded that there isn't much performance gain "cowled" or "uncowled." So basically... it is more for aesthetics etc. There is an option for a cowling as well I am told. And this is water cooled with the radiator out in from anyway. Thanks for watching! I appreciate you.

Just found the channel and am interested in this amphibian aircraft. Very disappointed in the lack of information provided. What are the weights? Empty, useful load, max weight? Cruise vs stall vs VNE? Dimensions for hanger requirements? Cost? Too much information missing. Most is not on the website either. Only partial cost is given there. Sadly lacking in information relative to a very interesting aircraft.

@JAlexanderCurtis4 жыл бұрын
It's a little confusing because at the beginning he says its a single-seater, which initially turned me off to the plane. But then at 10:12 and 16:30 you can see that all the planes they are playing with at the factory are 2 seaters. Looking on the website they only show 2 seaters on the site.

@@ohwell2790 I guess you don't agree with my assessment then. however at first glance, the only differences I can point out are that this have floaters attached to the wings instead the body, the 3rd wheel in the tail, and the stabilizers are in the lower part of the tail. and of course there's the aesthetics factor, hence my colorful and very nice "DIY" take on it.

I don't want to look like a hater but to have a semi structural hull absorbing hydrodynamic loads and astressed structure really seem like a dumb idea. You have he cost of creating a mould and not using it properly. This plane could have a nice composite fuselage......i really don't see why they designed it in this way...
@savagecub5 жыл бұрын
Compare and contrast the Aventura to the Searey. This looks like a poor mans Searey to me.
@ExperimentalAircraftChannel5 жыл бұрын
@savagecub. Well... THEY SAY... that the IF Searey is the "LAND ROVER" then the Aventura II is the "JEEP." And THEY are 100% ok with that description. But... you can have the same FUN and same EXPERIENCE for half the price. I'll leave it for you to decide what to do with your money of course. :-) Thank you for taking the time to watch this video and also engaging here. See you in the next videos?

Experimental Aircraft Channel Looks like the Aventura lacks the sliding canopy doors of the Searey. Is that correct ? Meaning you have decide before you leave the airport if you wanna go doors on or doors off.
@ExperimentalAircraftChannel5 жыл бұрын
@@savagecub You are correct. But... there is space in the baggage area to stow the doors in flight. Sort of like back in the day with our American T-Top Camaro and Firebird sports cars.

I owned an Aero Adventure Aventura and it WAS CRAP! Alex, who owns Aero Adventure is (in my opinion) the worst possible person in aviation industry! My feeling for this sub-standard person aside, getting parts was nearly impossible and if I did get a shipment, it was almost always the wrong part! Just crap company and not a well-built aircraft. The design is great but the quality is like as a Quicksilver ultralight or worse. Wobbly, thin & cheap, poorly adapted for quick build times in sacrifice for quality. Truly Kerry at Progressive makes the finest sea plane on earth and why would you pay for this piece of crap supported by the (in my opinion) the biggest dirtbag in aviation? BUYER BEWARE! I now part own a Searey and I could not be happier. The difference between aircraft is incredible.
