it's not a scam or a scheme
but for some it's not so swell

don't get sick or go under the blade

from living in a cardboard box
(and you don't have company stocks)

well you've got a friend who says it's all about
thinking happy thoughts and it will all work out
so drink your happy thoughts from a have full cup
it won't make a difference as your rent goes up up up up up, gulp
now if you buy baloney from the corner market
you'll have 82 cents left to play the stock market
ouch! now you gotta fix your tooth
and the best baloney you can buy
they're selling in the voting booth
(that can't be the truth, it's a little uncouth)
