In my last playthrough, at least half the galaxy, including myself, was at was with our fallen empire, when the Unbidden came I basically said "we're busy at the moment" and destroyed their portal before they could really establish any foothold, they just kind of fizzled out after that while we delt with the _actual_ problem

Just use arc emitters on your battleships and u'll win 90% of all engagements with awakened empire's fleets, simple as...

Well, things get different when I unlock the arc emitter, unless for the spiritualist fallen empire. It will be more different if I buy all the DLC……
