I used to wear a Sinn 556i as a Service/Duty watch. I ditched it for a Seiko SPB143 aka 62MAS reissue as the Sinn lacked a good and consistend lume during Night shifts. No other watch ever fitted my wrist as good as the 556 though… so now that the Hanhart is around with pretty much the same dimensions, great lume, great readability, the history, the quality and that hardened steel (boy I was always dreaming about a Sinn 556 with tegiment treatment)… fast forward: I received it yesterday and ist perfect!I LOVE IT ❤

@MH-lh1bf3 ай бұрын
@@chosearmandoarmando3864 it’s near perfection in that genre of do it all watch. I’ve worn the Hanhart now for a couple of days now and it matches the wearability. It’s unbelievably accurate as well. Their regulation takes 7 days at the factory and it shows. I’m not kidding: it’s running on less than +\-1s a day. It blows my mind. The Sinn has the same movement and mine was at around +/- 5s a day. Both great watches but now that I got the Hanhart I ain’t missing that Sinn no more 😍

I have an spb143 too and i just found myself drooling over this hanhart. How do they conpare quality wise?
@MH-lh1bf3 ай бұрын
@@The3osforos the Hanhart punches way above its weight. A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to try on a Tudor Ranger. It’s on par with that. The bracelet and clasp on the Ranger are more refined but that’s about it. If you d wipe the Hanhart and Tudor insignia off of both watches and had to tell the price you’d rate them pretty much the same. I think Hanhart is “under-pricing” the Preventor HD12 on purpose as they are kind of new to the 3-handed field watch game. Also I think they wanna “field test” the HD12 hardening and get as much revenue and consumer feedback as possible. The SPB143 is still close to my heart. I think a great vintage diver with heritage is a must have. Though mine is horrible on accuracy at -20s a day…. The Hanhart on the other hand: its accuracy blew my mind during the first days. It runs at under (!!!) +/- 2 seconds a day!!! I would even say it s closer to the 1s mark. I highly recommend watching TGVs/Urban Gentry video on it. You ll see why it is that way. They are regulating every watch for 7 days at the factory before delivery. That’s insane and it shows. So far the only thing I’m missing is the bracelet…. No idea when they’ll be available again … thought about putting it on a NATO or my Uncle Seiko Tropic strap in the meantime.

@MH-lh1bf3 ай бұрын
@@Sumerdini the Hanhart puts the Murph in its backpocket in every aspect… except power reserve… which to be fair doesent even matter in any watch if you are wearing it daily anyway. I received my Hanhart last week and it’s amazing! It runs at about +\- 1s a day! It’s insane. The 7 day process of regulating their watches at Hanhart goes far beyond Hamilton. Hamilton btw -like most other mass market swatch offerings- is more or less Made in China and assembled in Switzerland … to the lowest most cost effective factor possible. Not bashing on Hamilton/Swatch Group. I personally own a Tissot PRS and a Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical. Love em both…. but the Hanhart is on another level. It punches WAY ABOVE its weight. I wear it everyday as my service/duty watch putting it through its paces the way it is intended to be. Let’s say I’m wearing it in a “G Shock environment”… it’s just fantastic and fully made by a handful of passionate watch nerds in Gütenbach/Germany. Btw: It replaces my Sinn 556i and that’s sayin sth on its own already. What I also don’t like about the Murph: The fact that Hamilton actually took the dial design from the war years Hanharts. It’s a great hommage… but why get sth that’s inferior in every way whilst also being a “copy” of someone else’s trademark dial design? Just my humble opinion as an owner of products of both brands. So no offense 🫶🏼🙂

I already love this watch, but I do have a wish list for it if Hanhart decides to make improvements: 1) quick, tool-less micro adjustment on the clasp 2) a SW300 with an upgraded 56 hour PR option 3) better tolerances between the lugs/case and solid end links 4) decoupling crown (more of a want than a need). It would be perfect with these improvements and yes, I'm willing to pay more! I already posted these on the official Hanhart YT account and they seem to be open to suggestions. I told them it would be nice to have options similar to what Laco does with the Flieger Pro.

I can only speak from my own personal experience but lume for a modern cockpit watch is absolutely important. We do a lot of flying now on goggles and they don’t allow your eyes to dark adapt. For me lume was more important flying than it was scuba diving.

@@RalfPinkaire-f7w I wouldn’t wear a mechanical watch flying, I went with quartz. And yes I often used the watch while flying. With a weak lume I’d have to twist my wrist rover to get it under the map light. Would much rather just have good lume. But I only flew for 2 decades so what do I know.

Great video. These are amazing watches, and I love the brand/history, already being an owner of a 417 chrono. I think another really good Hamilton comparison is the Khaki Field Expedition. I own a black one on bracelet and really like it- it has the same all brushed vibe, super legible white arabics, same price point. If I were to go for one of these I'd move on from the Hamilton, because they would be redundant in my collection. These Hanharts do have a better spec sheet for sure- hmmm....
