yes i’ve seen an s13 that clean. it’s my interior that looks like that. i did the same shit you did in this one. i enjoy a fellow schassis guy that takes time and care into the practice. nice job. i can’t even recommend anything because you’re doing it so well and spot on, but maybe bigger door speakers? if you make that adapter bigger since you won’t have a sub. I use a 8inch rockville sub/amp combo. it’s perfect. very small and hides well. it’s 3 inches tall. as for Rca cables they run against rocker with factory wiring and back behind all panels, or down center under console and then under carpet to hide fully. i’ve done both ways in my cars

Hell yeah, I’m always glad to hear there’s more in this condition! And appreciate that, really doing everything I can to make it perfect.

Definitely deserve more subs. Some of the best work Ive seen. Not cut corners. No amateur work. Gald to see these cars receive the work they deserve.

the level of detail is insane and thank god you care about your S13 that much most ppl hack them up and i spent years and so much money get my old one almost back to 100% as much as the chaser is amazing this makes me want to import a clean red 180
@avengednick2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I really pride myself on my attention to detail and just refuse to cut corners. And I’m in the middle of doing the same with my S14 in terms of getting it back to 100%, definitely learned to just buy a clean car from the start 😂

i know its been a while but do you remember how many sq ft of dampening material you needed?

Hey do you happen to know where I can get those plastic pieces that clip the carpet to the sides. Or something similar to hold the carpet it’s literally the only thing I need. Great progress man!
@avengednick Жыл бұрын
I don’t unfortunately. I could be wrong, but I want to say I remember seeing that they’re were a part of the carpet and not a separate part number. They’re not overly complicated pieces, so I’d imagine you could find something that would function similarly as long as it fits under the door sill. Another option would be look for a cheap used carpet and pull them off that.
@1337dy4 ай бұрын
hey man, sick video! is that the oem carpet or does it just have the oem look?
@avengednick4 ай бұрын
It's not the OEM carpet, it's a black carpet from stockinteriors.com

love the video man! I just have some constructive criticism for your audio, the volume difference between your commentary and B-roll music is definitely noticeable. it is different in some areas but the volume levels seem to be different all around but other than that I love your content and how you put these videos together!
@avengednick2 жыл бұрын
Thank you and I appreciate the feedback! I’ve been testing out a new mic setup and for some reason audio levels were all over the place on the clips for this video. I leveled the audio to the best of my ability while editing but wasn’t very happy with the end result to be honest. I’ll work on getting it dialed in before the next video!

did you get mass backing/plush pile cut?

Yes, I did order it with the mass back and plush cut
@acjones392 жыл бұрын
What would you estimate your cost was on the sound deadening materials?
@avengednick2 жыл бұрын
Wow I wish I wouldn’t have added that up just now… Haha but just over $900 for the Damplifier Pro deadening mat, luxury liner pro (sound blocking material), and Overkill Pro mat for the doors and rear quarters that I haven’t shown in a video yet. I ordered too much of the Luxury Liner Pro and ordered the damplifier pro three separate times, so had I just bought one of their larger kits from the start that would have saved me some money.
@acjones392 жыл бұрын
Sorry to have inflicted that pain on you 😂. Thanks for the summary!

Such a shame it’s always just going to be a 240 and not a 180sx.
@avengednick2 жыл бұрын
Lol why? It will have an S14 SR20 DET and I would have swapped out the 180sx seats anyway. So the end result is damn near the same minus RHD and rear quarter glass, neither of which matter to me. If I wasn’t looking to build a car from the ground up, yeah a 180sx would make sense so there’s no need for an engine swap.
