@AverageDad, as an owner of Honor Magic v2, I generally agree with the scores that you gave for it.. except for the Software category. I know it does not have the best software, but it is not so bad either. Being a Samsung phone user for the longest time and having enjoyed its One UI, I did not and do not really feel so much frustration when I transitioned to Magic OS. So instead of a 2, I believe that its software deserved a 3 at the very least.

Well said!! There's an interesting question here - whilst foldable phones are still so much weaker than candy bars (physically) - do you think its worth having a separate score for foldables on build quality? The advantage would be to recognise the difference between the two types of phones but the obvious disadvantage would be to lose the simplicity of a single scoring system, which i suspect most would favour.

I think you have to distinguish better! You should at first give a ranking to foldables only and then transfer it into the bigger context of smartphones in common so your scoring system becomes more transparent! Other than that, great video! Thumbs up!

@@AverageDadOfficial of course a phone is a phone. But I believe, since u love and propagate especially Foldables, there is no point in putting them up against Barren-type Smartphones. I think these two are totally different comparisons, hence it caused confusion. 1) Comparison between Foldables only. 2) Comparison overall (to date, it still is the case, that Barren-types regularly outperform Foldables, because sadly they are niche-products percentual-wise on the market. If that wouldn't be the case anymore, you would be right. Right now, I still think I have a point!) Maybe a strange comparison, but u wouldn't compare Olympics to Para-Olympics just because they all do sports competition. U know what I mean :D

Buddy your reviews are brilliant. Most people don't see the big picture your reviews are realistic as ypu are comparing very different devices and of ypu had voted it any different you would have been biased to foldable devices. I have the S24 Ultra and I love it and was very close to getting the One Plis Fold as 2 of my work colleagues have it but I got the S4 Ultra instead and I am waiting to see.what the Galaxy Fold 6 looks like before thinking of trading this in for it

My opinion there is no perfect phone, if we keep comparing the latest one with few months old device, this is going to be endless loop. The new one will always have latest OS, camera, etc. It is now back to individual preference, to me I m more appreciate the world thinnest & lightest title over anything else. So far I don't see any other brand is able to compete with Magic V2 dimension, that's my proudness & joy to own it. Thanks

You need to review folds seperatley, people who buy folds dont care if the latest and greatest " candy bar" is 10 times better because we will never see it that way. We buying a fold for differebt reasons altogether, they simply in different ball parks and that is wheree the frustration is coming from. V2 over an s24 anyday, why? Hecause of the fold experience.... An s24 can never beat a v2 but an s6 fold iust might....
